I've been down with surgery & I'm DISsing from my phone... has anyone started a thread for the new ANTM season?


Boy the makeovers!

I love Sara's makeover... the haircut makes her look more feminine! I think it allows certain assets to be seen as opposed to being distracted by the floppy hair and braid!

Britini's haircut... WOW!

And Hannah... she's by far my favorite right now!

I didn't realize the new season had started until last night. From the pictures of last week, it looked like they posed with bees. No way I would have been able to do that. I have a bee alergy and they scare me to death! Kind of glad I missed that one!

Yes last week was bees. The southern girl is allergic to them too but she did it anyway.

Last week they started right into it. They didn't do the pre show and eliminations .

One girl left on her own because her two brothers were killed in the last year and she couldn't handle the pressure. Since her picture wasn't the worse one they send one girl home. Said she looked too old in her pictures.

For all the problems they had on set with the girls I didn't know who was going home.

That one weave was terrible. Surprised they let her leave the salon that way. Was also surprised she let them all have long hair.

I do think they let the right one go though. She looked left out in that picture.

Okay, great! I wanted to make sure I didn't miss a thread if it was already started, but it can be sooooo dang hard to use the search function on my phone!

I was really surprised last week when they went straight into the season vs. going through all the interviews and such.

The gal who went home this week was really on borrowed time anyway. Dominique was the one who fell into the pool during last week's runway show, but since she kept smiling and brought her personality, they kept her.

I felt so bad for Molly tonight. That is SUCH a bad weave. I thought the salon owner was going to have his own "makeover meltdown"!

I'm not sure how I feel about Kasia yet. I'm really waiting for her to find her moment.

And Alexandria - WOW! I don't think there's been a bigger witch since Renee a few seasons back. I was really disappointed that they picked her first... she really only stood out because of the dress. Molly did way better in her shot!

I'm eager to see what Dalya is going to do. She is so striking!

I'll go ahead and modify the title of the thread and make it OFFICIAL!!!!

Yeah, the bee episode creeped me out too!

I've never been stung by a bee (knock on wood) but I've been stung by a wasp... After that, I try to avoid it at ALL costs! Heck, the only reason I got stung by the wasp was because it landed on my head while I was at a pool party when I was like 7... It made my head itchy, so I scratched it, and well evidently, I invaded "its" personal bubble space.

A boy that was there pushed me in the water and boy did the chlorine hitting the site HURT! After I climbed out, I went to his mom who was a nurse. I kinda whined a bit about him pushing me in, but she said it was actually a good thing that he did because it cleaned out the wound! I did forgive him after that...

I'm wondering if Tyra went with the bees since they've not done a creepy bug shoot for a while. I can't remember any bug shoots since the hissing cockroaches. Have I forgotten one?

So far I've been happy with who they have sent home. I wish Ondre would have stayed (I understand why she didn't though) I think she would have done well. Hate Alexandria. Love Brittani's new cut, perfect for her. I agree, I really like Hannah as well.

I see Alexandria's attitude being a problem, if not this coming week, but in the weeks to come. She thinks hers don't stink, and while she is a good model, she is jsut that a model....not the synot the light guy and not hte director. I would be SHOCKED if she is the winner as she will bea reflection of Tyra and I don;t think Tyra wants to see that in a winner!

Alexandria will go home soon if she keeps it up. But she is good drama for the show. We need someone to hate don't we. She reminds me of an actress though but I can't put a name to her.

Sarah was talking about going back to school. I think that is what she will do. She didn't look comfortable at all modeling. Had lots of problems last week too on the shoot.

And what was with the booty thing and that one girl. Tayra was making her look like a stripper or something.

Look how long they kept Melrose and Jade in their seasons??? Renee started out that way but was cut down quick.

I'd rather keep someone who was weak vs. someone who was going around ticking off the crew I hired for a shoot.

Jaclyn told the panel that for the video, they put a fake booty on her to make her more "sexy". The panel told her that they liked how she "worked" her booty. It ran its course the FIRST time she bent over...

Sarah had no business being there.

She may not be model-esque, but I'd rather see them give her a chance versus someone who'll spit all over the show once she's done.

I absolutely love Molly!! I really like Brittney too. Kasia is pretty but I don't think she "has it". I think Alexandria is great but I hate her attitude.

Jaclyn seems sweet but for some reason she really irritates me . I also think Mikayla is the most interesting/gorgeous girl there. She's so different and exotic looking-- and she's from my hometown. However, I don't think she "has it" in the personality department and she seems weak.

The rest of the girls don't really stand out to me.

I was happy Sarah went home.

Sarah is a pretty girl in a unique way...she is memorable. I also think she has a decent head on her shoulders (other than the self esteem issues). She mentioned about if she didn't make it she was going back to school, because she knew her looks would fade overtime and she would need something to fall back on..... at the same time Alexandria was saying that she was going ot NYC if she didn't win and being a model..... I can see her in 20 years, a has been, doing stupid dead end jobs and telling everyone she was a model, still holding onto the fact she WAS a model!

She's already a part of the "older" set of girls... or is it just me, are ALL the girls older this season?? Kasia is 23... that's like 50 in model years!

I'm still trying to digest last night's episode. It seemed unbalanced - like SO.MUCH.TIME was dedicated to the challenge and less time to their actual photoshoot...

I'm not surprised Dalya got cut, live action just wasn't her thing.

I'll be glad to see Molly's weave go out the door! I can't believe they kept it on for 2 weeks (in the show's life) after makeovers. I didn't like the framing of her shot either. The photog was pulled too far in for a clothing ad.

I have a feeling Alexandria is going to be around a lot longer than I'd like!

What did you guys think about Jaclyn's photo??

Yes that weave has got to go. Thought it was funny when they said they would take it out if she stayed. Does that mean it would her own expense if she left.

Loved the little Lynx, when Alexandria was growling at him though I thought she was going to get her face bite. Not a nice picture either.

Dalya had experience before this so I am surprised she was even on and then didn't make it far. I think the right one when home.

Jaclyn was the one they mentioned the hand right. It was ok. I do like Hannah and my dd name is Hannah so she is cheering for her.

I'm happy Dalya went.

I actually felt bad for Alexandria. The little insight she provided into her life last night I think explains a few things but certainly doesn't excuse some of her behavior. However, I think she's loosing it a bit. Her photo was not strong at all this week.

I felt bad for Molly (but again, I'm rooting for her!) about her weave. She looks ridiculous. I'm glad she will be getting it out. Her picture was not good this week either but why on earth did they choose that picture of her?

I thought Jaclyn did a good job but I really can't see her doing a lot of modeling in the real word. She's cute and pretty but unfortunately I don't think everyone will like her baby face.

I'm so glad Brittani is doing so well! She's my second favorite and in the words of Tyra "that girl is fierce!"

I like Hannah and thought her picture was good but she doesn't impress me too much- not sure why.

Overall, the girls seem a lot NICER to each other this season. Wonder why...

I really think it's because the girls are older this season. There isn't a large concentration of young'uns in the bunch.

I didn't understand Molly's image either. I thought they were supposed to be selling clothes.

You can't tell me he only shot her face...

And yes, Jaclyn's photo was the hand reference.... Of all the seasons, they always talk about connecting with the camera... her head was turned up, akward postition of her very strong chin, and her eyes were closed.
