I'm trying to figure that out too, as most tips say to do the 2nd parade, but if everyone follows that you would think the first would be less crowded right?

Exactly I just wonder if we should just stake out a spot for the parade and fireworks. I would rather just stay in one place which means its probably easier to get a spot for the 1st parade then try to get one for the fireworks and 2nd parade because everyone will already be waiting.

We are going on December 7! All three generations of us....my bet is that my Grandparents will be leading the way through most of it, and I'll be the one wanting to be in bed by 10!

Hey guys! Sorry I'm so far behind on updating. I'll try my best to get to it tonight.

BUT - I have a question....

I've changed our flights, so we will be getting there early enough on our first day to go to the party (12/10). Would it be more crowded on a Friday than a Thursday (12/16)? Would it be better to start the trip with the party or end it with the party??? What do you guys think?

I would say it's a great way to start your visit-that's what we are doing, but I wanted to meet with you guys on the 16th! This is our first MVMCP, so I don't know how the crowds are for certain days. Whether you begin your trip or end your trip with the party I'm sure your family will have a great time!

The more I think about it, the more I think I'll keep it on the 16th. Our flight on the 10th lands at 3:25, with ME, check-in, and getting to the MK we would probably be cutting it too close. I'd be a nervous wreck all day!

I think we are going to go to the second one...just can't figure out where we should BE, seems like the best view of the fireworks is on the opposite side of the park from where they say to watch the parade and we want to watch the Castle Show also????

For now I have us:
Arriving around 5ish
Watching the Castle lighting @ 6:30
Visiting with Characters and touring Fantasyland, Toontown and Tomorrowland
Watch Wishes from Tomorrowland Bridge area @ 9:30
Watch the Celebrate the Season Show 10:05
and then watch the Parade @ 10:30 from the Main Street/Hub area

Does this seem do able??? We have never been before.

I don't know where or when to suggest a meet....or if anyone besides you and I are interested, Katie! The Dole Whip meet people are meeting at...Aloha Isle for Dole whips.

I would think earlier would be better....it looks like those who posted ADRs are all earlier in the afternoon but maybe it would be nice to meet somewhere that people could get a snack or a drink and be able to sit down while we chat. Here's some places (but I can't remember if all of them have seating??)

I would say this is a smart decision on your part! It's the very reason we added a night to our package. We were afraid our train would be delayed on the 16th and we wouldn't make it in time for MCMCP that night! Now we are traveling on the 15th and should arrive in Orlando around 1PM. This gives us plenty of time to relax, do a little shopping in Downtown Disney, swim(if weather permits, but I don't think it will) or go ahead and go into the parks! We added another day to the parks because it was only $16 total for the four of us!!!!!!

Me too! I see that RideMax finally has December hours posted, so I can start "in detail" planning now. Even though the party isn't on ridemax, I'll get busy on our MVMCP plan too. It's so much better to go with a plan and then "adjust" as necessary.

Thanks for the list. I would LOVE to get a photo with Grumpy. For some unknown reason my friends have given me the nickname of Grumpy.

I would also like to get Flynn, Rapunzel, Naveen and Tiana.

Every day that goes by, I learn something new and exciting about this party. I can't wait to go!!!
