I read back and found my answer! Thanks

Folks from the Sept 14 party have already confirmed that party goers can enter after 4:00p again this year.

This is an unwritten and unofficial policy for the past 5 years and many CMs on the phones do not know about it.

Hubby and I attended Friday night (21st). We had a great time. The weather was hot, so it made being Pirates a little warm. We did have a good time. The fireworks are amazing and the Headless Horseman was really cool. Back at work today so will try and post more later

it might have the answer.

I try to save people time so they don't have to go through 100+ pages unless they want! LOL.

If there's something you think should be on the first page, please pm me, I'd be happy to add it!!

Trish

I've never been to MNSSHP and had a bunch of questions. I ordered tickets and am supposed to pick them up at guest services, so that means I don't have any information, so hopefully you all can help me.

1. If I spend that day at MK, do I have to leave and come back in for the party? I saw that MK closes at 7pm and the party starts at 7pm.

2. If not, how do they make sure that only people that buy the ticket are there? Six years ago, you had to pick up a wrist band during the day at Guest Services to be able to stay for EMH. Is MNSSHP similiar?

3. Are the Halloween decorations out during the day or do they put them out only for the party?

4. Is it true that you can only buy the MNSSHP stuff during the party and that merchandise sells out early in the evening (i.e., if you wait until after the fireworks they might have run out of stuff)?

5. Is Liberty Square really the best place to see the parade and take pictures? I read that it has the best lighting for pictures.

6. I saw on wdwinfo a picture of a giant red spider web being projected on the ground. Where is that?

Well, I'm totally excited about the party! I'll be going on the 16th, so a little more than three weeks to wait.

We were just there on Sept 21st so I'll try and answer your questions:

1and 2: You don't have to leave and come back in. Starting about 4:00 they started to announce (in a spooky Haunted Mansion voice) that there was a party starting at 7:00 and there were several spots, including the underpass where you first come in where you could show your ticket and get a green bracelet. We actually did come out and back in again as we had gone to the hotel to put costumes on and used our tickets for MNSSHP in the turnstiles though I saw people in the park getting the bracelets that were already there before 4:00. There were CM's at stratigic points in the park checking for arm bands at well before 7:00. We couldn't figure out why they were holding the ghost signs until we asked a CM and she said those were the cm's that went around letting people know they needed a party ticket or needed to exit the park. You couldn't go any deeper into the park to "hide". They did a good job since I saw several people getting close to party time with no arm bands but noone without them once the party officially started.

3: There was some halloween/fall stuff up the whole week but it seemed like they spent the afternoon Friday putting more stuff out for the party

4: I'm not sure about special MNSSHP stuff being available only at the parks during the party. Every gift shop had party tshirts and halloween stuff available for purchase the whole week we were there.

5: We got trapped behind the barricades for the first parade near Liberty Square and had to wait for the parade to pass so we could cross back over to Fantasyland and it was PACKED! It starts in Frontierland so that may have been why but the way the schedule worked was that there was a Villans show and mix and mingle in front of the castle, followed by the first parade, followed by the special fireworks (really good!) followed by another Villans show, followed by the second parade. If you want to see the Villans and don't mind staking out a spot really early get in front of the castle (keep in mind there is a bunch of wheelcahair seating there and that the parade only goes along the tomorrowland side of the centre hub)you could get good parade shots and villan shots, watch the fireworks and go trick or treat after (go along the trail from Toontown into Tomorrowland! Lots of candy stations there). We found the second parade really crowded too so not sure which would be better. I believe there were actually 4 Villans' Mix and Mingles scheduled around everything.

We had a great time but found it much more crowded then we expected and our kids were exhausted by the time the second parade happened (our 6 year old fell asleep in her Sleeping Beauty dress on the side walk) so you might want to rest up that afternoon if you can!

Have fun!

We are going on October 4 for our first MNSSHP...I am so excited I can't stand myself!! DD is going as Sharpay from HSM, I think I am just going to wear a shirt I made with maybe some Minnie ears or something.

we went on friday, after doing dinner at the concourse, we were even chosen to receive free drinks with special lights from the dream team, got a photo and certificate too!!! I got teary! ... It was wonderful.
The party was good too, even thought it seemed packed, ther were so many people on the "streets" but, it wasn't because we really didn't wait in any lines to get on any attractions. The one thing that I would have liked was more photo opps and shorter lines. We have a prepurchsed CD and only stopped for one photo, the lines were CRAZY LONG! and there didn't seem to be thatmany photopass photographers around.
I also wish they hadn't turned the trick or treat bags into a avertisemnt for the PoC movie and ratatoille

figment, I we were there on the 21 and it was great. we were disappointed in the merchandise that was for sale, mostly t shirts and stuff, we did not see any great collectables. We watched the fireworks on the bridge to Tomorrowland. It was a great view. I saw the spiderweb projected on the ground on the walkway near the teacups.

Any Villains dolls/figures available at the party or anywhere in disney for that matter? They probably dont have them anymore, not even bringing them out for halloween :sad2:

We were at the MNSSHP on Sept 20--very hot and crowded! lines for trick or treating were long but moved fairly well. Couldn't get near the characters--lines were long even at 11:30 pm! We watched the 10:30 parade by Frontierland (the best parade I have seen at MK and fireworks outstanding) still really crowded..candy was not really great we threw out a whole bag at the hotel. Haunted Mansion was great! CM did a great job of getting non party goers out of MK at 7pm never felt like people who didn't pay were there mingling! We ate at CP 5:25 res and we were out by 6:45pm (food was not very good)The only souvies I saw were the official t-shirt and pins(we bought both)--As far as halloween souvies they are out all the time right now but not alot to choose from :(
All in all I dont know if I would do it again, although my 2 sons and mom thought it was great?!

We went to the party on the 21st. It was great I thought. We mainly went for the fireworks and the parade; and I can honestly say I wasn't disappointed. They were awesome. We got in at 4pm and we all had matching incredibles shirts and got to be in the family fun day parade. We scoped out our spot afterwards at the end of main street in front of the Walt Disney and Mickey on the bench. We saw the parade and the fireworks from there. I think this parade and fireworks are the best disney has. I am still singing the Boo to You song. After that we went and rode HM, Splash, and BTMRR w/o any wait. As we were leaving we hit the candy stops. I have to say I was a little disappointed in the candy. I had never been before but I had heard such rave reviews and it didn't live up to those reviews. The candy itself was good candy it was just the quantity of it. Even as we were leaving at midnight we didn't get very much, but then again that's really not the reason we went. I can't say much for the characters b/c we didn't do that. I do know that the lines were long even up until midnight. We bought the pins and the t-shirts. We have our entire pin set coming in soon and I can't wait for that. It was a great time and I will definitely go again.

I actually remember seeing you guys. My son was going to wear his incredible costume but it was too hot and when we saw you guys my daughter said that if he was wearing it we could have left him with you guys. We were 3 pirates and a Jafar.

I remember seeing y'all also. I remember Jafar b/c my dad is a huge Jafar freak. That is so funny. It was a little bit hot. Your kids sound like me and my brother and sister.:rotfl:

I have been loooking everywhere for an Incredibles t-shirt . My DD is dressing up as Violet and I was hoping to find one of the red shirts with the Incredibles Logo . Where did you find yours?

What a great night! No rain, not too hot (unless you had a heavy costume). I was surprised at the lines for the characters even late at night - we ended up waiting for Minnie at her house, but that's the only one we did. The parade and fireworks were fabulous! We saw wishes later in our trip and I like Hallowishes better :thumbsup2 We watched the parade across from the Hall of Presidents - very good and then moved on and got spots in front of Walt and Mickey for the fireworks. The Villans Mix and Mingle show is short and hard to see because of all the people, but the music is fun and catchy - so still entertaining.
