Do they cut off the line for the 7 Dwarfs? Like could we get in line after the second parade? Thinking it will be shorter then, rather than waiting from 5pm-7pm before the party starts, but still have to wait super long in line.

We're shooting for 7 Dwarfs (our 2nd time) and then hopefully hit targets of opportunity. Especially the rare ones, like the Country Bears. Maybe try to hit Jack on the way out. We'll be going twice, so it would be nice to get 1 with him, where he is interactive.

Which parade is recommended? Our last December trip we did the second parade. I've heard the first one is more crowded but I'm trying to figure if it's best to do rides earlier or later in the evening.

I'd recommend the last one. We attended the first parade last year, viewing from Main Street, and I will NOT do that again unless I have a "spare" hour plus to grab a good seat (and then hope no one stands in the way). It was CRAZY crowded! While I'd love having the Castle in the background, my choice this year will be Frontierland or LS and the 2nd parade.

Are you doing the party twice?

We are doing the party twice. But in my post, I meant that we saw the 7 Dwarfs our last trip, 2 yrs ago. Since they only come during MNSSHP and MVMCP during the year, we figure to make the most of it.

And to the people who have reported people staying beyond their day pass on party nights during this yr's MNSSHP, I can corroborate that. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law are down there and have reported that. But, I will take it with the smallest grain of salt. Their party was the 1st one after MATTHEW. So I have to imagine that with the closure early on Thur, and all day Fri, that the powers that be instructed the cast members to be a little bit more lenient. And they did say that most of the people without wristbands were on Main St.

We'll still be going twice. Doesn't change our opinion of how much fun it is.

Just going to hit Flynn Ryder as far as characters go and maybe if something has a short wait. Really want to soak up the atmosphere and not worry about characters this year.

We will be at the party on friday 12/16. If we were to see the second parade how hard is it to get a good spot for the fireworks? When we were there a few years ago we got a good spot (early) for the first parade and then just stayed in same spot for fireworks. I'm thinking of seeing the second parade but want a good spot for fireworks. Is it possible to get a good spot for fireworks after the first parade? if so what time do you think?

Yes, they do cut the line off, for most of the characters including 7D, Jack, and the princesses and princes.

I think getting in line at 6:00 for the princesses is too early. Most people including KtP recommend lining up around 6:30. I'd go with plan A, as my kid would never sit in one spot that long either.

They really don't allow a party line to form there before 6:30pm due to traffic flow in Fantasyland.
