"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016 - Have Yourself a Very Mickey Christmas.

Just read on another forum (in a land far far away - lol) that they are not ejecting people without a wristband from the party. They are keeping them from entering the different lands, but not asking them to leave. People are staying until the first parade is over and then leaving. (Those without a band I mean)
I hope this doesnt happen at MVMCP!!!
I will be upset!
Last year they were really strict! What gives?

So FP+ got me thinking about my MVMCP plan and I have 2 questions for the experts out there:

1. Which is more time efficient:
A. watch Frozen Holiday Wish at 615 then go get in line at 630 for meet and greets with princesses/characters until the parade at 815
B. Get in line for meet and greets at 600 and plan to do Frozen Holiday Wish at 730 followed by 815 parade

2. If we do Frozen Holiday Wish at 730, Parade at 815, Celebrate the Magic at 915 and Wishes at 930.. what do you do before and after the parade? It doesn't seem like enough time to go do something, but I'm not sure my kids will stay in one spot for 2+ hours

Thanks in advance!!!

So why buy a special ticket???

I bought mine in Aug and was able to make FP no problem.
yikes- I didn't even think about this-FP's- when I bought our MVMCP tickets for 11/29/16. We are staying offsite, but want to make FP's for our party night between 4-7PM. Can I do this 60 days in advance-or only 30 days in advance? Have always wanted to ride 7DMT and am hoping we will finally have the chance on this night! Does anyone know the answer to this?

If you're staying offsite, you will be able to make your fp's 30 days in advance.

oh- I thought/hoped perhaps since we bought "party tickets" - different than regular admission tickets -the FP's would be available 60 days in advance.
Well, still just counting down the days till I can make our FP's! Cross your fingers we will actually get to ride 7DMT!!!! Have spent so much time on hold with Disney- thank you for your prompt reply! :-)

That sounds like total BS to me. Do you have a link?

If this is true and it does happen, I'll be asking for a refund! As another PP said, why buy a special ticket? The parade (especially MNSSHP) is one of the biggest extras for the party. If people are seeing it for free, that's just not right.

So sorry-I have asked this before but can't find the answers in my notes!
1) Where do they set up stations to get the party wristbands? We will be coming from Crystal Palace and
Heading to the lockers- would like to avoid the one at the entrance!
2) What and where are the special party photo pass opportunities!
Thanks so much! I could never have planned this without the DISboards!!
We will be getting our wristbands around 4:00

We were there for 2 of the MNSSHP's 2 weeks ago and the CM's were definitely moving those without wristbands out of the park. They set up a perimeter on Main Street and you couldn't cross without a band - and they kept walking that up towards the entrance. In the stores they pulled a rope across (inside the store) with a CM there checking bands and she wouldn't let you pass through to the rest of the store without a party band. This was around 7:15pm. I didn't notice any non-party guests after awhile at either party we went to.

Main street was very chaotic at the start of the party with guests leaving and I was up closer to the hub for the first parade which seemed more peaceful in comparison. If there were some hard-core campers down closer to the exits on Main Street - I wouldn't have seen that though - lol!

I think getting in line at 6:00 for the princesses is too early. Most people including KtP recommend lining up around 6:30. I'd go with plan A, as my kid would never sit in one spot that long either.

This is going to seem like an oddball question but....
This will be our first MVMCP, we've always been Halloween partiers. My son has a collection of Christmas nutcrackers that we put out every year. Does anyone know if there are any Disney nutcrackers available either at the party or just in general around Christmas time?? :santa:

Any news yet on what the schedule for the MVMCP evenings will be? I know last years time table (almost by heart) but haven't heard anything about this year's parties yet.

The link should be in the Party Guide Map that you'll receive at the Party.

There should be a barcode to scan and then the video will appear. *This is how it worked for SWW at designated photo backdrops.

This video is a Christmas greeting from the VIP characters. I am specifically tasked with finding someone who will post the video, the barcode link, or a shot of The Big Cheese himself in the video. ;) Not very specific at all! :)
I will be there on the first night! will try to remember to post!

We purchased a Mickey nutcracker in the emporium last year(year before?), they also had Minnie.

someone just posted the answer to this like 2 days ago, I THINK it was in this thread. They listed 3-4 places, I can't remember what they were but I think Tortuga Tavern was one.......and then somewhere in Tomorrowland and then maybe City Hall next to the Fire Station?

Sorry if this has been asked/answered.... When I purchase my tickets for MVMCP, will they link in MDE (will only be there for one day, staying offsite so using regular tickets -- no magic bands unless I bring ones from a previous trip and have the tickets linked to those) or will I need to show the "hard copy" ticket to get into MK for the party?

Which parade is recommended? Our last December trip we did the second parade. I've heard the first one is more crowded but I'm trying to figure if it's best to do rides earlier or later in the evening.

This would really surprise me -- I definitely hope this isn't the case! We've gone to several MNSSHP and MVMCP in the past and the CMs were always very good about clearing the parks....
