So many people going I'm so happy

I wouldn't be going it it wasn't for your original post at the beginning! It made me so excited I just decided I couldn't miss it! Thank you so much for all the awesome information. So many people going I'm so happy![]()
so I've been lurking along... and can't really decided... which would you do? Friday, Dec 4 or Sun Dec 6 for party night? We are coming in Friday morning. if we did Friday, we wouldn't do another park... just get settled at the resort- mid afternoon lunch and head to the party at 4. if we did Sunday, DD and I may try to do all day MK, with a break mid-day. DH and DS probably wouldn't do that! I know it's really comes down to our choice, but is there that much difference in crowds?
we've been to the party before but it was in 2006. crowds were minimal, so we are excited to go back. I just want to prepare DH and DS that it won't be quite the same! They're the most impatient while DD will be ok.
thanks for any advice.
I posted my FP+ question a few pages back~ it was about not being able to make FP+ reservations on the party day between 4-7. (I could swear I was able to do it in the past!) I have a party ticket and a park ticket (for a different day) both linked to my resort reservation. I'm within 60 days. So I decided to call Disney and ask and see what they say. I told her I read online (not where!) that some were able to book FP+ for the party day between 4-7. She told me no, you can't and not to believe everything I read on the Disboards.I laughed and said I didn't say where I read it! Lol. I thought that was a little presumptuous of her to assume where I read it, as there are a lot of online Disney discussion blogs, forums, etc.
Anyway, maybe I'm misunderstanding the whole process. The point is moot for me anyway, we will just try to get FP+ when we get there at 4 and whatever happens happens. DD and I just spent 8 days in Disneyland so we're ok with not being frantic about rides. My DH will be with us and that means it's the People Mover for us!![]()
I just made my fp+ reservations, yesterday. We have 3 day tix and MVMCP tix. I was able to make 4 days of fp. although the app was not working right so I did it on my laptop. I think you should try again. Also, you can only have 3 fp a day, so if you already have fp for earlier in the day, you can't get 3 more from 4-7.
You need to be prepared for anything, from shorts to winter coats. It can and does change very quickly...... and you don't want to be outfitting a family for cold weather gear at Disney prices. It's usually gorgeous, needing sweatshirts in the morning and evening, and shorts and T's during the day. But a couple of our early December trips were bitter cold.
Lol. This happened to us three years ago. I didn't properly check the weather(which is very NOT me) and low and behold that night was record lows in Florida. It got down to 35 degrees that evening and for us southern folk who are used to winters that aren't very cold, that is bitter cold! We had all worn jeans and brought a light jacket(ha!) but that was not cutting it. I ended up buying $150 worth of jackets and gloves for my kids at the Emporium that night. I will not be doing that this year!! BTW, that was in mid November.

There are a limited number of tickets sold for each night, so even if the party sells out (which the 1st one likely will), it will still be less crowded than a busy day at MK.We are going the first day of the party. We are so excited and have a few questions. Will the first day be insanely crowded? We only have a ticket for the party and plan on be there at 4pm to ride a few rides. Can we book fast passes 30 days out? Do we get magicbands or use the hard tickets. One last question promise
is there a way to get the memory maker for one day? Thanks to all and can't wait to surprise my niece!

Hello! This is my first time posting on the DIS. I'm very excited to attend my 1st MVCP in December but can't decide between Thursday Dec 3 & Sunday Dec 6. Weekends are typically more crowded but I think that Thursday has been sold out the last couple years. So I'm not sure which one to go with. What do you think?
Last year they offered a one day MM during the parties, but it was not offered during MNSSHP this year, so not expecting it for MVMCP either.

I am assuming you do not have an on- property stay booked? If so, you will not receive magic bands, but you can make FPs between 4 and 7 on your party ticket.

Let us know if you have any other questions!
Have a great time!!
