****Official May 2012 Thread**** ALMOST TIME TO LEAVE!!

Question of the Weekend:

Do you plan or have you used Disney Florist or In room celebrations?

No, even though my husband and I will be celebrating 25 years together!!

In November my daughter and son-in-law were on their honeymoon in Disney World, and I did order a fruit, wine, cheese and chocolate basket to be delivered to their room at Royal Plaza.

I just logged into the WDW site and got the alert that in 30 more days I can do online checkin!!!!!! I could do cartwheels! I am so over the top excited. Is it time to go lay the suitcase out on the spare bed and start packing some things? I am so ready!!!

25 days for me!!! :woohoo:

We just made a crazy move for our honeymoon! We went from Room Only at POFQ 5 nights and AKL 5 nights to Boardwalk for 10 nights with Deluxe dining! Not sure what came over us, but I think it is a great move :banana:

That's not crazy... it's your honeymoon. As long as you can afford it I say go for it. We stayed at the Poly for 12 days for our honeymoon, we still talk about it 24 years later! Only difference with us we only had 2 choices, the Contemporary or the Poly :lmao: pluto:

That's awesome!!! I say :thumbsup2

Hope you've gotten your ADRs lined up!!! :)

And congrats on the honeymoon!

Thanks! I did all the ADRs before as if we were on the deluxe (we were gonna pay out of pocket) but deluxe sounds so much better!

I love that you had 2 choices, sounds like an amazing 12 day honeymoon though!

We didn't think we could afford it originally, and yes it is hard to pay 5 mortgage payments for an 11 day trip - but it will so be worth it! We are both accountants and picky where we spend our money, but c'mon we only get 1 honeymoon!

Thanks for the feedback :cool1:

I'm trying to email my mum a list of questions to help me plan our trip, her one and only visit to WDW was in 2006, 2 Disneyland Paris visits before that.

What kind of questions would you ask about rides, food, what to do/see?

Here are some questions I remember asking my Dad:

1) Would you rather each a large breakfast, large lunch, or large dinner? (This will help you determine what ADRs to make)

2) Would you be intersted in a dinner show?

3) How much walking did you want to do on this trip?

4) Do you want to take afternoon breaks?

5) What is one thing you must see in each park?

6) Are you interested in the parades?

7) Will you want to see Wishes, Illuminations, or Fantasmic?

Hope this helps!

Hello fellow May trippers! Checking in officially!

We will be staying in a 2br villa at Saratoga Springs from May 11th-16th!!! Our ADR's are all set and we've only got 47 days to go!!!

:woohoo:

Good Afternoon everyone! :sunny:

I have updated our front page that shows when and where everyone is staying at WDW. Please let me know if I missed anything!

Also, if there is anything specific you would like me to ask as "Question of the Day" please PM me

thank you, those are perfect :) I forgot about parades and fireworks. We're on QSDP so I haven't made any ADRs, I'd like to go to Beaches&Cream, who don't take ADRs so that's fine. Anything else we might just see what's available once we're there :)

I have 38 days to go and just tried on my summer clothes, they're a little snug so I'd like to lose 14lbs before we go, which seems high but considering I have been on the pizza and chocolate diet this past week it may be possible to lose a little bit more the first week ;-)

So, my husband and I are solo, woo hoo. For those of you with younger children... as for vacations best time of our lives lol our children are 22 and 16 ;) We are staying at VWL May 7th to the 14th for our 24 wedding anniversary. pluto:

Question of the Day:

On a rainy/windy day, what is your most recommended itinerary?

Brave through it! lol... I don't let anything stop me. Most of the attractions are indoors so it's just a matter of getting to them. Grab a poncho and go!
