****Official May 2012 Thread**** ALMOST TIME TO LEAVE!!

I'm not sure if I did these already... so I'm doing them again! lol...

What are you celebrating?
This will be my mother in law's first trip to Disney. She has almost every movie on VHS and has never been there.

Are you a pin collector? We are going to give trading a try this time around. I bought lanyards for everyone and we each get 8 pins to start out with. I'm not looking at doing a TON of trading but when we're waiting in line it'll be nice to pass the time.

What is your first full day plan?
We're going straight to MK and should arrive there by at least 1:30. We have a late lunch reservation at Liberty Tree Tavern and then I'm surprising everyone with the dessert party that night!

What is your favorite place in WDW to have breakfast?
Ohana's or 1900 Park Fare... loved both.

In order, what are you favorite parks to see? (1 being your favorite, 4 being the last one you will visit)
1. MK
2. Epcot
3. Hollywood Studios
4. Animal Kingdom

What is the first ride/attraction you will go to in Epcot?
Soarin'

What is you favorite viewing place for the following WDW events?
For Wishes we love to sit front & center of the Hub. For Illuminations we really don't care since we probably won't even watch this one... not a fan. For Fantasmic we try to get in the center somewhere. I'd like to sit closer down this time :)

What resort did you pick and why?
Bonnet Creek because we'll have 5 people this time around and it was the cheapest for that amount of people PLUS we'll have a full kitchen & internet (well now Disney had to go ahead and announce they were going to have free wi-fi and fridges in the value resorts... darn it!) lol..

What is your #1 tip for first-time visitors?
Go from rope drop till the parks close and don't take breaks! I'm not kidding! Get your money's worth and you won't be sorry :)

Will you drive, fly or take the train to WDW?
We'll be flying. I hate flying but can't argue with it's either 18 hours in the car or 3 hours on a plane.

I agree, bring back more questions :) I love them too and missed most of them in the early portion of this thread.

OK now I'm off to join the Facebook group :) Thanks for making it :thumbsup2

I love that they questions are making a come back! Would anyone be interested if I continued with "Question of the Day?" :)

I definitely would!

Like others I never answered the other questions so I'll do that now (mine will probably be pretty close to Paul's):

What are you Celebrating?
The BF's birthday, our 2nd big trip, and (just found out the other day) getting accepted into my program at school! :goodvibes

Are you a pin collector?
No. I do however buy a vinylmation or two every trip.

What is your first full day plan?
Relaxing. We went to a park first day last year and I was so exhausted. Probably do some swimming and we have plans to do Disney Quest that night.

What is your favorite place in WDW to have breakfast?
I wouldn't really say I have a favorite place to eat breakfast. However, we're trying Chef Mickey's and Tonga Toast for the first time this trip and I'm very excited for those.

In order, what are you favorite parks to see?
1 being your favorite, 4 being the last one you will visit.

1: Magic Kingdom!
2: Animal Kingdom
3: Hollywood Studios
4: Epcot

Do you have a PTR, PJ, or Pre-Dining Report?
I don't. I would like to start one, but keeping up with it would be difficult because of school.

Tell us about your favorite experience with a CM at WDW!
Paul's CM friend getting us into the parks free a couple times out last trip was pretty magical for my wallet. :thumbsup2

What is your favorite snack in all of WDW?
The Mickey Ice Cream Bar! Although, last trip we got caramel popcorn with chocolate drizzle and that was wonderful as well.

What is the first ride/attraction you will go to in Epcot?
Probably Club Cool to load up on sugar and caffeine. :hyper:

What is your favorite restaurant in DTD?
TREX! I think Dinosaurs are the coolest thing ever.

What is you favorite viewing place for the following WDW events?:
We don't really watch the parades or fireworks. I've seen a lot of them, Paul has no interest, and we don't have children with us. I am hoping to see "The Memories, The Magic, and You" and Fantasmic on our upcoming trip though.

What Resort did you pick and why?
Pop Century, because all we need is a bed and a shower. We spend such little time in our room it seems silly for us to pay a large sum more when we're in the room for so few hours.

What is your #1 Tip for 1st time visitors?
Don't rush to do everything. Let it all soak in and focus on having fun, not getting EVERYTHING done.

Will you drive/fly or take the train to WDW?
We will be flying. I can't imagine driving 24 hours straight from Boston. No thank you.

So, at 45 days you can't change anything on your reservation without getting a penalty? When do you start getting "Mickey Mail", and all that?

So, at 45 days you can't change anything on your reservation without getting a penalty? When do you start getting "Mickey Mail", and all that?

I've made changes to our reservations after the 45 day mark without any penalty. Having said that, the changes I made required that I pay Disney more money so that's probably why they didn't charge me anything to make the changes. In years past, we got our "Mickey Mail" right around the 30 mark but the past two years, we didn't get it as early and it was around the 20 day mark.

Thank you for the info! That's not too far away, it's kind of exciting :D Hehehehe

Hi Can you add me to the list on the front page..

from 4/29 - 5/2 I'll be at the Yacht Club for a work conf, and from 5/2 - 5/7 I'll be at the Pop with my Hubs!

Thanks Michelle
