****Official May 2012 Thread**** ALMOST TIME TO LEAVE!!

I figured our taxes, and between federal and state we are getting about $1600 back, which is going to be enough with what we have already saved to pay for our resort, park tickets, and the travel expenses down there. Now all we have to do is save up spending and food money! :thumbsup2 Considering we only started saving in November, I think we've done great. Gives me hope that we can do this again if not next year, then the year after that!

Although not in Disney World, our next trip is our 1st trip to Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort! We're soooo excited. This is our 1st real road trip as a family. The first van holds Disney Mimi and Disney Papa, Second Van holds DW; DH; DS; DS; and DD, and the last van is DB; DSinlaw and DN. It's about a 20 our drive, and my children are in for a real wake up call, as they think Disney is only a few hours away. :) We just can't wait!

Wooo hoooo!! Just payed off our reservation this morning about 2:30 in the morning. Now if I could just figure out how to build a time machine and make it the morning of May 5!

:banana::cheer2::banana::cheer2::banana:

I can't wait till May 5th either!! Wedding Day and Disney on May 6th :)

68 days to go! I feel like I still have so much to do!

I need to:
order TIW card
print out itineraries
wrap gifts
pack!
make bows

YIKES!

77 days to go for us!

Talking outloud (too much) about Disney has its benefits! My fiance and I have birthdays coming up very soon, so his family members gave us a whole bunch of $$$$$ to help towards the trip! Once I get paid Friday, I should have the trip PAID OFF. WHOOOOO!!

After that, I just need to save spending money to the side, and get a bathing suit/sun tan lotion for the pale one. :rotfl: And a toothbrush holder, I suppose. lol

Is there any chance that we would need a sweater in May? I know it's usually warm during the day, but I was concerned about night time.

I can't imagine that you'd need sweaters in May. We've been in May before and it was always warm. I wouldn't even want to look at a sweater! :goodvibes

Sounds good to me! We're from New Hampshire, so it's snow all the time. :surfweb:

I'm still a newbie here but I just wanted to join this board and say hi :goodvibes I'll be there in May also! Can't wait!

We are taking a land-sea-land trip from April 30 - May 12. We'll be sailing on The Dream from May 6-10. I am so excited. We've been counting down for almost a year....and it's finally almost here. :cheer2:

I need more projects to help pass the time!! lol

My husband is anti-matching tshirts, so that's out of the question. The kids' gift bags are done, the puzzle for the surprise is done. I guess I'll sit here and twidle my thumbs for 90+ days....hurry up calendar!

I live in FL, and I can assure you, in May it'll be shorts and tank top weather. :thumbsup2 Right now, the temps have been jumping from 60s to 70s, and it's only the end of February. I'm actually afraid it's going to be too hot come our May trip. :confused3

NICE!!! I'm hoping for some sort of tax return too - most years they seem to want money from us though :( Last year was better though so we are hoping for that again

I need a new swimsuit too but having AWEFUL luck finding one :( That's what happens when you live in a place where winter lasts for 6 months! :cold: and I agree - you won't wear a sweater much at all in May. Last time we went in May they were having a warmer May than usual and i nearly died in that heat!!! So I was hoping this time it wouldn't be the case BUT the way the weather has been SOOO mild everywhere i won't be surprised if it's warmer again. I of course wouldn't go on a trip without a sweater or two anyway so i will still pack one but probably one sweater and one yoga type jacket just in case.

What about a countdown?? Did you make one up? or you could spend some time doing a pre trip report???

Congrats! :thumbsup2

I really want to do a Land/Sea sometime but DH does NOT do boats (or ships!)

Hmmm...maybe Dsis and I can take the Sea portion and the DH's can meet us for the Land portion!
