****Official May 2012 Thread**** ALMOST TIME TO LEAVE!!

Question of the Day:
What Resort did you pick and why?

We're going with Wilderness Lodge. Of the 6 of us going, only 2 have stayed there before and it will be a new experience for me. I've been to WL before for a ressie to Whispering Canyon but never stayed before.

Question of the Day:
What Resort did you pick and why?

We are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani. It is our home resort for DVC and we love everything about it. We have stayed at SSR and BWV also, but we love the smaller Kidani Resort. It is very relaxing and we love our afternoon pool time plus the theming is awesome.

Jessica, can you add me to the first page. My dates are May 1 - 9th. Thank you!!!

Not a problem! So sorry if I missed you before! So many to keep track of :woohoo:

Love that you are staying at AKL! That is the second part of the honeymoon :)

Thanks! You are gonna love AKL! We haven't stayed at Jambo house, but all of the resort is beautiful. If you want to explore Kidani it is just a short walk (5-7 mins). You will see that it is much smaller.

Question of the Day:
What Resort did you pick and why?

Pop Century. My parents claim that it has less screaming children than the other value resorts, and is a little nicer for the money. I'm not picky about rooms myself, so I just went along with what they wanted. Just give me a bed and a shower and I'm as good as gold. :)

Forgot to mention, tomorrow we're booking our dinner reservations! I can't wait!

Question of the Day:
What Resort did you pick and why?

My mom is treating us to BLT, fireworks view. She has always wanted to stay there and wants her family with her. :cloud9: Once in a lifetime thing and I am beyond excited! PO:FQ I picked, it looks like a great resort and I want to try the beignets!

I love the All-Star resorts. I've never stayed at Pop Century but I know so many people who love it. We've been to the store and food court, it's very nice!

Question of the Day:
What Resort did you pick and why?

Bonnet Creek. If it were just our family (us 4), we'd be at Pop again since we love it there but my MIL is coming along which makes it 5 and a lot more $$$ to stay on property :( Although Bonnet Creek is still inside the gates... we couldn't beat a full 2 bedroom condo with kitchen, living room, 2 bathrooms & balcony for $693 for an entire week.

Question of the Day:
What Resort did you pick and why?

We picked The Yacht Club because of its proximity to EPCOT, The Boardwalk and HS. It means we dont have to use the bus as often. Last time we stayed at The Beach Club, and from our room to International Gateway it was a three minute walk:worship:

My family and I just made the decision to go to WDW next May. Our dates our May 4th-May 11. The main reason is because we're all doing the Expedition Everest 5K, plus I was there at that time last year and loved it.
We haven't booked our resort yet, but we are thinking of staying at All Star Movies. :thumbsup2

Question of the Day:
What Resort did you pick and why?

We are DVC owners and our home resort is VWL. We love the atmosphere of the WL. The first time we stayed there May 2006 we knew we came home. We have stayed other DVC but it is our first choice.

Wooohooo! Add us to the list please. We will be there May 26th-June2nd! It will be our 4th trip since having children, but the first with the grandparents. We are all so excited!

As for your question of the day (love this btw), we will be staying at the Poly. In our 4 trips, we have stayed off-site twice (vacation home and Bonnet Creek) and on-site once (Contemporary). We loved our on-site trip so much more. This is how we feel we experience the most "magic". We love the convenience of the monorail and we spend a lot of time at Magic Kingdom and Epcot, so we are giving the Poly a try this time around. I think we will really enjoy the theming as well as the restaurants.

Is it May yet??? :yay:

Question of the Day:
What Resort did you pick and why?

We chose to do a split stay for our Honeymoon between POFQ and AKL!

We choose POFQ for the first 5 nights because of the beautiful, relaxing, and romantic atmosphere. We love the boat to DTD and love that all the rooms were recently remodeled.

For the second part of our trip, we booked 5 nights at AKL with the Arush View. We choose this for the 2nd part so we could focus more on our honeymoon, relaxing, and spending time together. It will be great to have the Arusha view!

We choose to do a split stay so we could extend our honeymoon. If we only did AKL, I think we would have only done 7 nights. But the split between POFQ and AKL gives us 10 nights!

Question of the Day:
What is your #1 Tip for 1st time visitors? (I know this is hard!!)

I have just booked our Mother/Daughter trip.

10 nights at Coronado Springs Resort with free UK QSDP. I went with CSR because they're the only moderate to have internet ;-)
I love the look of the resort, it looks beautiful.

May 2nd-May 12th

My trip in May is partially a Mother/Daughter trip, as well!
That's odd that CSR was the only moderate available on-line. :confused3

Question of the Day:

Hmmm, that is hard.

I'd have to say get to the parks as early as possible and rest in the afternoon. It's kind of crazy how different the parks are from morning to afternoon. Not only is it cooler, it's less crowded!

Oh no, it's the only moderate with free wi-fi ;-) [at this point]
Not really the reason I picked it but I just loved the look of it, but did consider POFQ as well due to its size.
