TEN DAYS!!! I can't believe that in 10 days time I will be in Disney World for the first time ever!!!
Dream come true - I want to cry already!

I wear waterproof mascara when I go to Disney World!!!!! Just talking about it makes ME cry. People think I'm nuts, but it all just makes me so happy......

We are going to be there from the 12th- 19th and will be at the POFQ also. Maybe we'll see each other!

I see you guys are also doing the Scavenger Hunt. If you see these shirts around the POFQ those two days, it'll be us!! We made them last weekend.

3 weeks from today at this time, we'll be hanging out at the MK and looking forward to our now traditional Ohana dinner.

Haven't done any packing or buying of anything yet, should keep the rest of the wait time exciting.

I'm one of the Disney freaks who try to go every year...even more than once since buying DVC and no two trips are ever alike since there is just so much to do both in and outside the parks.

I'd go multiple times a year if I could! This is our first trip since our honeymoon in 2000, and the first trip our kids have ever taken there (actually, it's the first vacation our 2 yr old has been on at all!).

I'm one of the Disney freaks who try to go every year...even more than once since buying DVC and no two trips are ever alike since there is just so much to do both in and outside the parks.

We are also DVC members (since 2009). We try to go at least twice a year (just us and then the 2nd trip we take friends along). However, we're going to start going only once a year and going for 10 - 14 days. Our home resort is BLT but we've stayed at SSR and OKW. The marathon weekend in January I want to stay at BWV. I also would love to stay at VWL around Christmas time one year. I will agree with you in saying that not every trip is the same. I've been 8 times since Jan 2008 and there are still things I've never done yet.

Those are AMAZING shirts! I saw your picture in the other Thread! Yours actually inspired us to make a Team logo. We haven't got ours finished yet, but they'll be white teeshirts with "The Californian Adventurers" on the back, and the little Tigger Scavenger Hunt picture on the front.
I am certainly going to keep an eye out for you guys! Which Park are you starting in?

Thank you! I love your team name!! We almost went with Top Chef Mickey's (we're huge Top Chef fans), but we finally settled on Toy Story Maniacs. We start in EPCOT and are going to also do DHS on Thursday. Then, on Friday, we're going to start with MK and then AK. Where are you guys starting?

They're Disney paint chips from Home Depot. I believe the official color is Alien Green...or Alien somethingorother. lol

I'm sooo excited! I told my husband that I can't believe it's almost here, considering we've been planning this trip since August. He smiled at me and told me that I've been planning this trip since the day I found out I was pregnant in October 2009!
I can't wait to take our little girl on her first trip to see Mickey!

The drink in the pineapple is the coveted Lapu Lapu. It's $13 and available at the Tambu Lounge on the 2nd floor of the Poly, adjacent to Ohana.

YES!! CDN Friends of Pooh, where in the "WORLD" are those pineapple drinks from!! That looks UNBELIEVABLE and we will be at Poly for a ADR, hopefully from there!!! OOHHHH!! AAAHHHH!! yum!!

The big pineapples are Lapu Lapu's which you can get at the Tambu Lounge at the Poly. The ice cream is a Pineapple Dole Whip which you can get at Aloha Isle in the Magic Kingdom (or from Captain Cooks at the Poly)

LOL, kind of. One of the Rum's that they pour in it is golden in color. Yes, it is worth it, especially if after you drain the drink you grab a spork and scrape the pineapple from the inside, it's delicious! If you have trouble justifying the cost, look at it this way: You will only need one, LOL! Trust me, you can drink one at 5:00pm and still be good at 11:00. Its the kind of drink that is a marathon, not a race, and it's STRONG! One and done.

they are VERY addicting ... and yes you must scrape the pineapple from the inside with a spork to get the remaining pineapple goodness!!

16 days till our vacation starts off with a night in GA then a night in Tallahassee, Fl.
18 days till we check in at Pop...and I don't have anything packed. I still need to go to the store to get some things. I feel so behind.

Welcome to DIS! I'm just curious...what did you not enjoy about your trip 5 years ago? Hopefully, this trip will work around that so you all can enjoy.

I have 2 girls (5 and 2) and find the best thing is to (try) to take it slow, at their pace.

I was 6 weeks pregnant and irritable as a snake. so everything bothered me. strollers, children, the march heat, the walking. but now 2 kiddies later- we are excited totake our family.
