We are scheduled to go 5/27-6/4 for DS's bday but I'm wondering if we should change to 6/3-6/11 because of crowds. Any suggestions?
Hello, I haven't been on here in a few days, we had this big plan to reveal the surprise to the grandkids for this trip in May. We made the big reveal at Christmas. All the planning I had done for the big reveal didn't go too well.
On December 20th, I lost my son...unexpectently ( the childrens Daddy) so our big surprise wasn't as happy as we tried to make it. In stead we are grieving for our loss. I am just hoping that the next few months of planning will help the kids to focus on happy things.
I will be checking in once in a while to get some ideas for our trip

Thank you vey much.....I quess the next time I call WDW, and they ask me what we are celebrating. I will tell them that we are celebrating my son's life.I'm so sorry for your loss I will say prayers for you and your family.I hope in time the kids will be happy about the trip and beable to celebrate their Daddy's life while there.
I have to admit that I agree on the too much food thing. I am also thinking to do the standard dining in May, although haven't completely ruled out deluxe yet. I want to do deluxe again but do a signature restaurant every day, which would I think make it a LOT easier to handle.

I'm still trying to understand everything about my DVC but from what I've read there was something about we (as a DVC member) could pick a dining plan for our entire trip or we could split the trip up over two or more. For example: Day 1 and 2 do basic, day 3 and 4 do deluxe.
I just booked our trip earlier today and I'm so excited I can hardly stand it! Pray for me, as my children are 1, 2, and 4 years old. They're going to have a blast!
I know, I know. I've been trying to decide if it is better to do OOP on a couple days, or if I fly in on the 25th, and do the standard dining throughout, but use my counter service days first two days, so have a couple extra days of TS, or what...With as many as we have planned???![]()
I'm so glad it's January 1st!!!!! Four months to go; we will be arriving May 1-7 and I'm very excited. Who else will be there this time?????

Happy Holidays everyone! I just realized our last full day in Disney will be Mother's Day. Does anyone know if Disney does anything special? We were planning on AK that day, with ADR's at Tusker for breakfast. I was thinking we would probably do DTD that evening for dinner and shopping. I don't really care about being "pampered" or anything like that, I just don't want to miss out on anything that Disney might be doing that day.
