Official May 2009 Thread....The wait is on!!

We leave Saturday morning about 3 or 4am. I'm not even close to being packed yet. :rotfl: I have to do laundry Friday before I can pack clothes. I do have a few toiletries thrown in a bag.

I was doing shopping for the trip today...I can't believe it's almost here!!!

To Funny - I have been shopping for out trip since December! LOL! I have almost all the things I need - I could use a few more new pair of shorts tho. I can then start to pack!

Speaking of shorts...where the heck can I get some that fit me, look good and are comfy too? I'm a size 6, but my waist is big and my hips and butt are tiny...So if I get shorts that fit my butt...they're tight on my waist, and if they fit my waist...it looks like I've pooped my pants. Drives me crazy...

I got my suitcase out! Does that count? :rotfl:

My mother has the same body type. I'll ask her and see where she gets her shorts. She lives in Canada so it might not be a store that is in the US though most of the stores are the same now.

We leave on the 16th for POFQ. Please tell me you are NOT ready and packed! I am SO ready to go and need a vacation but so NOT packed nor do I have my stuff ready! PANIC! yes, I will do it even if I have to take off work to get it done! Hah! take off work to get ready to take off work!:rotfl2:

We leave on the 16th for POFQ (very early, like 2am early!) and don't worry about not being packed yet.

I did throw a few things in a bag that I know I won't be using in the next week and a half but other than that I haven't given much thought to packing. I think I'm going to go to the store and pick up a few things for the trip this evening.

Can't wait to check out POFQ, I've stopped in to the food court once on a boat ride to DTD from POR but I've never really explored the resort.

More people in the Port Orleans area! We're getting there the 17th. We haven't even started thinking about packing yet. I'll be going to the store in the next few days though to grab some things and get a new summer wardrobe. We'll probably start packing next week.

Speaking of speaking of shorts...what kind of shorts should I get to help avoid chafing? Material? Design? Product to use under them?

Oh man, we went to Las Vegas last summer and we were miserable after day one and stopping at every other resort for a baby powder pit stop the rest of the trip! :rotfl:

10 days to go :cool1: Beach Club here we come. 5/15-5/24. We have been shopping for months and are pretty much packed. Now we just have to get through the next 9 days. We are sooooo excited I can hardly stand it!

I'm not sure there are shorts that can stop it. There are products though. Body glide is one but can be hard to find in a store. Can be ordered online if you have time. Another trick is stick anti-antiperspirant. Keeps thighs from sweating and therefore keeps them from chafing as much.

I have no personal experience with either but I know someone who swears by bodyglide. The anit-perspirant trick is just somethng I've heard in my years around the dis that works.

Bodyglide was the last thing I had to buy to complete my shopping list yesterday. I read a thread on here months ago that had me convinced to give it a try. If you go to the bodyglide website it will tell you where you can buy it. Most sporting good stores carry it or running stores. Cost me $10, but may be the best $10 spend so far.

BodyGlide worked for us on our past 2 trips. In addition to thighs you can put it on your feet to prevent blisters. Plus I put it on my neck where by Baggallini rubs.

LOL

Leave in 72 hours - I guess I should start laundry then get the luggage out. I was going to have a day off work to get some of this done, but now it looks like I will be working all week. Oh well it will help me pay for the next vacation in December.

We're counting hours now-48 hours from now we will be jetting to MCO. I am soooo totally ready to go!

Of course, no good vacation comes without complications! We have friends in Orlando who want to do dinner on Monday night, trying to get a ressie for anywhere good is near impossible! But we will keep trying! No matter, we will be in the happiest place on earth!

Tomorrow!!! I am jealous!

We still have 9 days left...Still excited about that but wish it was closer...

We are going the same time as you! Can't wait, it seem s like the 9days will never come!

Leaving friday! these last days are like the song that never ends yes it goes on and on my friends

Thanks for the great tips!! I was trying to figure out what to do about both of these problems!

This is the first time I did not go through a travel agent, and booked myself. I received an email to check in early, has anyone done this and what are the advantages? Thanks in advance Oh Yeah single digit dance:dance3:
