Official May 2009 Thread....The wait is on!!

I just noticed that out of all the families listed, only about 4 are going to stay at AKL and that's including AKV. I guess people don't like how far away it is. Sorry didn't mean to hijack the thread but that just seems funny to me. :confused3

It is not that I do not like the resort or the location - for me it is the money!

Sorry to hijack the thread but I was wondering about the lime green mickey that signifies you are a part of the Dis. where do you get these things? Sorry for my newbie questions, but as they say, the only dumb question is the one you don't ask, right?:rolleyes1

The lime green Mickey heads (LGMH) everyone is usually referring to are the Disney paint chips from Home Depot. All of the paint chips are in the shape of a Mickey head. The "official" LGMH is actually called Alien Green. For the record, that's not a dumb question!!:thumbsup2

well thanks! Both for the affirmation that it was not a dumb question and for answering the question!

We're going May 22-29th to celebrate my birthday and finishing my Master's degree.:cool1:

I've got to concentrate on finishing my last semester, but having a hard time since I keep thinking about Disney!:upsidedow

sorry - not usually in with the all caps, but seriously, I like to plan!!
I'd love to have my whole plan put together and just look at it & smile, rather than going to check the website again.

Do you think it's related to the new 90 day ADR window? Like they are trying to stop people from hyperobsessing because it drives away people unwilling to get a degree in planning a trip to Disney?

Oh - the happy parts:
Saturday prior to memorial day til Sat after memorial day, Coronado Springs. 3 nights free!! & my dad is getting that lovely free ticket for retired military - yeah!

I'mbegining to think Feb will be the month for May hours (90 days) But at least it shouldn't be the mad rush we all thought for adrs !!

I almost chose the AKL. It was my second choice and it seems like a great resort. :goodvibes But ultimately I chose the Beach Club and it was due to the location. For this particular trip, I knew I wanted to spend a lot of time at Epcot and Hollywood Studios, so the BC seemed like our best bet. We'll probably go with AKL for our next trip, though. :thumbsup2

My husband and I will be there May 1-8 at POR. We were going to go in October for my birthday but couldnt pass up the opportunity to go sooner and save money! :goodvibes

It's been in planning for three years...
We are finally going back, after a hip replacement for DH May '06, surprise baby Jul '06 --- momma needs a disney fix really bad:earboy2:

We are staying at the music (2 Rooms), taking me, DH, DD, Ddbf, DS, DS (2)
hoping we can do it with a 2 yr old, did it in June 96 with a 4 yr old tough.

Trying to decide which character breakfast to try
we did Crystal Palace years back thinking Mickey at the Cont. or Donald's safari at the tusker (worried about choices) any opinions????

Can't wait to be there... work on planning daily, nightly, and even in dreams:dance3:

We went in April with an 18 month old and it had its challenges but he loved it and that made it well worth the little extra hard work involved. We will be there with him again in May (2 1/2 by then) so we are crossing our fingers that some of those challenges are lessened or gone.
