Well, I just got off the phone. I got all of our reservations, all within half an hour of my "ideal" time. It was quite a pain, especially at the beginning. The Cast Member I talked to had an extremely thick accent and I had to have her repeat "Grand Floridian" at least six times. After that incident though, things went pretty smoothly, so that was good.
Anywho, we're on the Deluxe Dining Plan and we're currently booked for these:
Narcoosee's - D
Akershus - B
Teppan Edo -L
Biergarten - D
Yak & Yeti - L
Raglan Road - D
50s Prime Time - L
Brown Derby (way earlier than we would have liked, but I wanted to get the package; I figure we can just chill for a while between courses or something so we don't explode from the food) - D
Crystal Palace - B
Liberty Tree Tavern - L
Spirit of Aloha - D
Coral Reef - L
California Grill - D
Le Cellier - L
I do have a quick question for you all. With Extra Magic Hours, do you have to be in the park when they start or can you come in after they've started? If it's the former, I may need to play around with our Narcoosee's reservation.
We're there the 16th-26th.
We will be at the Boardwalk Inn in a deluxe concierge room from May 16th-23rd and at Animal Kingdom Lodge in a savanna view room from May 22nd-26th.
This trip is a high school graduation party for four really incredible kids. I teach and direct children's and youth theatre and there are four seniors (members of our Professional Training Company) who graduate this year who have been in our program since kindergarten. They are all headed off to colleges literally all over the country next fall to study theatre or musical theatre, so this trip is one big graduation celebration and a chance for us all to spend some special time together before this very, very close knit group gets split up. So, it's me and four teenagers! They're all great kids though and we've done lots and lots of traveling together, including a few international trips and even a previous Disney trip a few years ago as part of the Disney Youth Education Series. The trip is all paid for by fundraisers they've been doing for the last two years (special benefit performances of our shows, etc) and by donations from our boosters. I really can't even explain how much fun these kids are or how proud I am of them. They've literally spent their whole lives working together, so this trip marks the end of something really special....and the beginning of college experiences we know will be amazing for them!
We have lots of neat things planned...Keys to the Kingdom tour, Wildlife Discovery Excursion, dinner at the California Grill followed by a Wishes cruise, a carriage ride and then the Hoop De Doo review, a photo session, etc.
We also have the deluxe dining plan, so we're going to be doing lots of eating...which is honestly the thing they are most excited about right now!

Spoodles
