Official May 2009 Thread....The wait is on!!

We are going May 23-30th! So excited. We went in February last year and we decided to go at a time when the weather wasn't so varied. We are staying at WL for the first time and we can't wait! Well, I can't wait. We haven't told the kids just yet!

yes they will! Last year we didn't tell them until a couple of days before we left. This year we plan on telling them sooner than that. Their reactions were priceless last year. I highly recommend waiting--at least once.

Just booked from May 16-23 at the Coronado Springs resort. My daughter and I will be together and she has a birthday while there.

Ok fellow May Disers- with the dates coming up to make ADR's. I'm curious who calls each day to make a reservation at the 90 day mark and who waits till 90 days from the last day of their trip and makes all the ADR's. I can make Adr's next Thursday for the first night of out trip. I was curious if I should call daily or wait till its time for the whole week.

Our trip begins 90 days from yesterday so we called and got the adrs for the week. We are trying the qs dp this time but still made 3 adrs. We got breakfast in Norway (tradition dictates a character bfast each trip) lunch at 50's Cafe (because I don't like cs at DHS) and Cinderella's Feast for Mother's day dinner.

We'll be there May 22-31, staying at GF. I'm sooooo excited. Counting the days til I can book my ADR's. I still need to book my airfare tho...let me know if you guys see any killer deals leaving from Denver

We got lucky and were able to make our Adr's at 100 days out (90 + 10) I had to call each day, but I got exactly what I wanted. Had to try a couple of times with some cm's.

If you are staying on-site, you can call 90 days prior to your check-in date and make ressies up to 10 days into your vacation. For example: Today is our 90 days. We check in 90 days from today, May 7th, I was able to call and make my ADRs for all 9 days we will be at Disney World. Does that clear things up??

P.S. Chef Mickey's and CRT are booking 180 days out, so if you plan on eating at either one of those, you'ld better call NOW!!!

Good Luck!! I didn't have a problem with any of my ADR's. All of my times are exactly what I asked for or within 5-10 minutes!

Well thats good, Im hoping i will to. Im just a little worried because when we booked the trip you were still able to make reservations 180 days in advance. We kinda slacked off and then when we went to make our reservations they said oh we changed it, its now 90 days. The only thing we were able to book was our chef mickeys and we wanted 5:30 on the 9th and couldnt get it until 6:55pm. So we will see what happens tomorrow.

huck finn is one of my fave books. and i no im gunna love this resort.


can not wait. first time we will be going to disney as well. and first time my b.f has ever been on a plane.

My family has stayed at POR several times at Magnolia Bend and it is beautiful! YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!! We will be at POFQ May 16-23 just to try some place different. Our family trip will be myself, dh and dd (who doesn't live at home anymore but is also a Disney nut just like her father and me!).

We are one step closer. Made my ADR's last week. Got what I wanted mostly at the time I wanted. That might change as the parade/event calendar comes out but for now I am happy.

Got our plane tickets also. Flying SW from Norfolk VA non stop for $89 there and $99 back (it saved my family of 5 over $300 over any other air line) plus we get 2 bags free per person (more that we need) so I can pack one bag w/ food for the room.

YAHOO! Finally got to double digits! 98 days ,16 hours, 30 minutes -but who is counting! May 17th - May 24th at BWV celebrating our 33rd anniversary!

Just got off the phone with Disney. Made all my adr. Got everything i wanted. Im so excited. Ok, so the real countdown begins. Were off in 3 months. Good luck to everyone else making there reservations soon.
