We are also worried about crowds, I keep trying to tell myself Disney is only open to so much of a capacity.
My wife has tried for weeks to get SW to allow us to change with ZERO luck. She talked to several CS agents by phone and online. We paid cash for our "wga" tickets last winter and they told us that we had to use them by March 15th. Due to the current times I have been very put off by the airline. I am going to assume you either have points or vouchers and didn't buy them so long ago? We are still looking forward to our March trip but honestly would've moved it back to May or so as my mom isn't so sure that she will go now.

Bama Mom - can you please update my dates? We decided to stay another two nights because flights were much cheaper on Sunday than Friday. We will be there from 3/21-3/28 now. Thank you!
The modification process with SW is actually very easy. You may change your flights as you wish, either paying the difference for the new selections or getting a credit to use for future travel within a year. Regardless of original form of payment.
In this situation SW initiated the change.
From their email, "We want to make you aware of a change we’ve made to your upcoming trip. This was done proactively due to a Southwest flight schedule change on your day of travel.
Please review your new itinerary below. Your reservation is confirmed and no further action is required.
In the event this new itinerary does not work for you, we are offering the opportunity to change your flight date(s) and/or time(s) by up to 14 days from original travel date at no additional cost in accordance with our established reaccommodation practices."
I was able to change both our departing/return flights to non-stop for all 4 tickets. Painless. The only thing is SW may continue to make schedule changes that could impact our travel. I don't suspect this will be the only change.
I've always found SW easy to change flights on. I did check my flight itinerary after I read about your change and mine changed too but not a whole lot. I still don't have an email which is weird because the time they did change the original one, I got one. Now I fly out 15 minutes earlier to go to Disney and 55 minutes earlier to come home. No big deal for me. I suspect things will change again for us too. My niece is flying American out of LA and she is now getting in 5 hours later to MCO. So she is looking for other options. In our group we are using american, SW(from two different airports: Nashville and Atlanta), Delta and frontier. So far all of them have had changes.
sw has changed our flights 3 times now we will see how many more times they change them before we go on 3/21
I was able to get our return home flight at a better time, noon ish instead of 7 am, which would have been 90$ more per person for the price of my original flight, which I had been watching and already gotten 14k points a piece returned. The modification process with SW is actually very easy. I forgot to update my reservation changes.
BLT 14-17, BCV 17-20, SSR Treehouse 20-21.
I wanted something different/special for my 50th Birthday trip, so we are doing the Treehouse villa for our last night. Always wanted to stay in one.
Now just waiting to see if they announce Rat ride, and hours extended to finalize our plans and cancel ADRs I wont need.![]()
Yeah! Bonus. II was able to get our return home flight at a better time, noon ish instead of 7 am, which would have been 90$ more per person for the price of my original flight, which I had been watching and already gotten 14k points a piece returned.
