***Official March 2021 Thread***

Just recently had to change our dates and resort. Now going March 23-27 so a short 4 night trip but thrilled to be going, haven't been since Halloween 2019. Staying at All Star Movies, haven't stayed there since 2007 and my kids have never stayed there.

i just hope we all can make it their last year we had 10 days til we going and they shut down

I get it.....we had flights on 3/20/20 and were supposed to be there for eight nights. Unpacking suitcases for a vacation that never happened was sooooo sad. There is a part of me that won't believe it will happen this year until I'm actually on the plane.

Got you updated on the list. A short trip is definitely better than no trip at all.

We had to re-book three times now. Watching the countdown board just stop was so depressing. Then we did it all over again and ended up writing a question mark on it. We started this one up a week ago but the kids are not as enthusiastic anymore.

So we noticed yesterday that ADRs were open before the 60 day mark--our trip starts 3/12, and yesterday we could make ADRs up until 3/16. But, even with noticing that the pickings were really slim! All the times are incredibly early (I guess because of early park closures) and breakfast options are terrible. I've read that y'all are getting most of the ADRs you want--am I being too picky wanting later times? Am I in denial that options are just super limited right now? We do have a party of 7, and that probably makes it even harder. UGGHHHHH.

Oh no! We are a party of 6 so I wondered how it was trying to get ADRs for larger groups.

Ok, just booked my ADRs today for my 3/13-3/20 trip. Didn't remember that February was a short month, so I didn't get in until later this morning. Pickings were a little slim on some days, but I think I got it figured out.

One question for the group. On a day where I have an AK park reservation, the system still let me make a late reservation at Oga's at HS. I know I am able to park-hop over there if HS has availability after 2:00pm, but what happens if I can't park hop? Do we know if it automatically cancels if I'm never able to scan in at HS, or do I need to manually cancel it?

We're on our third re-book (March 2020 to Thanksgiving 2020 to March 2021) and I'm still not 100% that we'll be good to go in March as currently planned.

We are also on our third...March 2020 to June 2020 to March 2021. We also had another May 2020 trip planned with friends that was canceled that we never ended up rebooking.

That's a good question. I would assume you would have to cancel yourself. But make sure you go in and change the date and time of the reservation to a later date before canceling because there may be a penalty if you're within the 24 hour cancellation policy.

My wife got up at 4am and started spamming the site and luckily got what we wanted (for 6). Since then we have noticed places have booked. I only mention this in case anyone isn't familar with the process and how insane it can be. On a side note due to everything booking up it seems like we aren't the only people "going for it" regardless of the circumstances... lol.

I've also found that I have a lot of success re-checking for particular times/restaurants a few days after the 60 day limit, as people start moving their reservations around and leave gaps.

I’m getting the sense March/April are going to be pretty crowded...

Just found this group through another thread.....we've had our trip (March 28-April 3) booked since last March (I'm a planner) since we're celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. We've been many times, but this is our first time staying on property (Pop Century), we usually do AirBnB and we're military, so we get discounted tickets. It will be me, DH, DD (16), DD (14). My parents, brother and sis-in-law are meeting us there too (they're staying at Dolphin)
I just realized last week when I got my latest WDW Magazine that we can do dining reservations 60 days + days in the length of our stay. I've only done dining reservations once (Thanksgiving trip) so hoping to get a few this time. I'm also excited for my husband (BIG Star Wars fan) to see Galaxy's Edge. I went last January with my daughter's marching band trip and saw it. We got there in the afternoon, so no RotR for us. Definitely need to get it this time. The guys in our group like to "Drink around the World" at Epcot, so looks like this time they'll be taking a more leisurely approach with that since they can't drink and walk like previous visits. The guys are also doing a couple golf days, so it will be a girls only day at AK.

Welcome to the thread. I got you added to the list. I have a feeling a lot of the drinking and eating around the world people will be a lot more leisurely with the new rules in place. I don't drink nor am I a foodie but some of those in my group are one or the other so our Epcot time will probably be spent while they visit the booths from the Flower and Garden Festival.

We will be going March 1-5, 2021 staying in Contemporary. Excited!! We last went in December for a week, 10-17 and had a blast, went in August too since covid.

Anyone have any guesses for what weather will be like in mid-late March? I am from WI so anything above 70 will feel pretty warm to me.
