Official March 2013 thread

Hi! I am another one who never knew threads like this existed, but VERY excited to be taking our granddaughter, age 3 for her first trip to the World March 3-10!:yay:

We will be at AoA, Nemo till the 6th then moving to Wilderness Lodge. Hope the crowds aren't too too bad. We have ADRs for Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace and Akershus (all for breakfast) and Whispering Canyon for dinner one night. So bummed that my favorite place--Cali Grill, will be closed while we are there.

It's official! We are going to WDW March 2-9th staying at ASMo. :yay: Taking my grandma to her first ever Disneyworld trip at 73 and also will be taking my son for his first trip back since his Make A Wish trip in Jan 2012.

So much planning and its all on me to do.

We will have the Disney dining plan and this is my first time staying on property. Managed to get a few ADR's even with it being past the 180 day mark!

Does anyone still do the Lime green mickey heads? If so count me in!

Here is our plans for the trip so far, feel free to critique! (I divided epcot into 2 sepearte days for time for extra rides on soarin and nemo. plus to keep walking down a bit and be able to really take in the different countries)

Heading down 3/22 - 3/30! Super excited! Just sent a FB request.

Are there any photopass shares out there yet?

Mar. 3-8!! Free dining and upgraded to regular dining plan. Staying at ASMo. Doing Hoop-De-Doo on Mar.3, then EP on Mar. 4 (2 tables services that day), AK on Mar. 5, HS on Mar. 6 and MK on Mar. 7. Check out on the 8th, but going to the Braves spring training game at Wide World of Sports. We'll probably stop at a hotel somewhere down the highway that night. My free dining pin saved me about $400 from the SPD!

We are headed down for Spring Break, Mar 9-14. We have ADR's at Cindy's and we are taking the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Cruise (my 3 yrs hates fireworks so that should be interesting).

My mom just booked our little family a package just in time to still take advantage of the stay, play, and dine package. We are soo excited we check in at Pop Century on the 7th!

Going to be in the World for 2 nights in March:cool1: March 9-11 at the Wilderness Lodge in a 2 bedroom villas.

The main reason for our trip is to go to a concert the next weekend in Tampa, and to spend the week on the Gulf in Tampa. But, airfare was cheaper into Orlando and we have to see the New Fantasyland, so 2 nights at Disney got added in! :goodvibes

sounds like us. we are doing a week in clearwater and it was cheaper to fly into Orlando so I talked hubby into doing two nights at the poly and checking out the new fantasyland. I am crossing my fingers the pool reno is done in time.

Just saw a Spring offer on the Disney site that includes dates to March 23rd! Has anyone else acted on this yet or looked into it? It looks like it would save us ~$300-400 - I think it's a 25% discount on Moderate rooms and we currently just had a 10% (I think) AAA discount on rooms.

I was able to adjust our reservation for Mar 22-30 at CSR and saved $225 ~ we are staying the majority of the time during blackout dates but even a small savings helps!

My rep at Dreams Unlimited sent me an email and said she got over $500 off of the package that was already booked...............::yes::

We will be at POP 3/7-3/10. We can't wait :) It will be our first trip as FL residents. Our last trip was in 2010 when we lived in NY.

Oh THERE you are! There are so many places for countdown threads. I saw two other March threads in the Resort area and they aren't very full. I couldn't believe it for March!

We just booked March 12-16 as a celebration trip! Staying at Pop. Woohoo!!:cool1:

My AAA agent hasn't been able to update our ressies yet - seems there is a constant 1-1.5 hour wait on the phone with Disney (?probably because of all the problems with their new website - I still can't bring up my ressies on that). Hopefully they will be able to get through on Monday and we'll save close to $400 and my parents ~$350.

I bought the "Guide to the Magic For Kids" book for the boys for Christmas, and they have enjoyed looking it over and putting in some of the stickers. :cool1:

The new website looks promising, but it is very frustrating that I cannot bring up my room/package reservation there. I was able to bring in our first ADR, so it at least gives me a close to correct countdown though.

Has anyone heard any more about the FastPass Plus things? :confused3 My parents brought their ressie in on the new site and it said Monday (our 60 days day) there would be something to do online to avoid standing in line. I read something about the FastPass stuff in the terms and agreements for the new website. But maybe the 60 day thing is just about online hotel checkin?

Thank you for posting this! I called Disney right now and just saved $367 on our POR stay! Yay!
