Hello All!

I have decided after lurking for the better part of Feb to actual post!

My name is Amber and I am spending my 25th Birthday at the House of Mouse!!!

This is the first trip for me in over 5 years and the first ever for my BF. He is not exactly excited but I am hoping he will love it once we get there. We live in Miami so we will be making the drive up there on March 2nd and staying until the 6th.

I love that I have found such a wonderful community of WDW lovers. My family is big on WDW. My Mom has a Disney xmas trees every year and My Brother even proposed to his GF last year in Magic Kingdom!!

Can't wait to be there next week and feel the magic!

When's the big day? Congratulations & I'm sure you'll have a GREAT trip We also have a Disney christmas tree (my oldest son's idea). You're in good company!

Welcome Miss Amber. Glad you spoke up and said Hi!! Happy Birthday!! I can tell you that the first time I took DH he was not so excited, by the second day of his first trip, he was as big a Disney fan as I was/am.

I can tell you that the first time I took DH he was not so excited, by the second day of his first trip, he was as big a Disney fan as I was/am.

Hopefully the same thing will happen for us. DH has been to DL with us before, and then swore he would never go back (we went with his whole extended family...'nuff said). Suddenly this year he agreed to DW for spring break, which completely shocked me but I didn't stop to question him! We leave in 23 days! We're flying from the other side of the continent, BC, Canada, so not sure how often we'll get back there, so I want this trip to be great for the whole family (and yes, it's just us and our 10-year-old twin daughters this time...yahoo!!)

Yay----6 days to go! I spent my day off yesterday packing!! All ready to go except for a few last minute things to throw in the carry on!! DH is finally admitting he is getting excited too. He looks at me lately like I am a Disney World addict who needs a fix! That is all it seems I can talk about!! I think our boys were starting to worry too. The talk at our house is all about DW from Mom!!!! LOL!! Can't wait to get there and let the magic begin!!!

6 DAYS! I'd be excited too. You'll have a wonderful time! Please let us know if it's everything you dreamed. Sometimes I panic pre-trip about crowds or weather, but once we get down there, that all seems to vanish & there isn't a care in the world

No worrys!! Extended family can cause stress. This trip will be just y'all and the girls, things will be better. Very excited for y'all!! I believe y'all will be headed back soon after this trip. I beyond excited for Wednesday to get here so we can get on the road. I've been reading TR's and checking the weather obsessively.

I work in the cruise industry and it has been really busy the last few days. No complaints here since it makes the days go by faster

We are leaving in 48 hours and I can't wait to see the expression on my kids sleepy little faces when we arrive! I'm so excited I can barley contain myself...I'm doing a little dance now (no you don't want to see this!) It looks a little like this just much faster!

Finally started packing tonight. I'm a little over 100 hours out. The euphoria is slowly creeping out of my toes upward. In three days I'm going to be a blithering idiot. LOL!

3 weeks from today for me and DH.

We also have my parents coming in to watch our kids for the week. I also need to do a major cleaning sweep. I am a clean freak myself, but we've had some major house renovations. At the moment I have guys over here putting hardwood floors in the master bedroom and painting 2 bathrooms and installing new baseboards. Everything from our bedroom is all over the place and it's making me all twitchy and anxious.

I haven't even thought about packing yet. I probably will do it last minute. I want to wait and see what the weather is before I pack. We're just taking carry-ons so I need to make sure I pack correctly. I'm amazed at you guys packing so early! Good for you!

We leave 3 weeks tomorrow and are doing carry on only as well. If you come up with a good strategy for what to take, let me know!!

How are you going to spring it on them? Ours is a surprise too, we're just driving and not telling them where we're going. They have guessed FL, but we have thrown in the cruise and my SIL lives in FL, so it could be that...
