I have alot of posts to respond to so bear with me
Going to Disney with a sensory kid: Even though my son has a diagnosis from a Neurologist, we aren't going to get special passes for him. I know I technically could, but its very hard to distinguish him from normal kids other than the weird noises and constant stomping, as well as his inability to stand still... ever. He simply "cant" wait in lines, so we will just take turns holding him slash restraining slash entertaining him. We'll figure it out. I've heard horror stories of people saying mean things to people who get to cut lines and I don't think my DD6 year old could handle hearing things like that aimed toward her family. He doesn't have any anxiety or anything, so we are extremely lucky in that area. He just has very inappropriate stims and looks like a typical baddly behaved kid. But Disney is pure stimulation, which seems to really center him... So it will be alll good.
unfortunately, I found out today I probably have a herniated disc in my neck. I am going for X rays tomorrow and an MRI after that sometime before Disney. It's most likely caused by exactly what I mentioned before, constantly restraining and lifting a 40 pound child. Hopefully DH will be able to take the reins for Disney, and my neck can get a rest.
