*OFFICIAL MARCH 2010 THREAD* - Lets countdown together!

Yay!!
And add us to the list, please!
Santa brought us our Spring Break trip too!
We'll be at the YC the 17-25th and just can't wait (especially with the lovely weather we've been having here:rotfl2:) Our son just turned 6, and this will be his 2nd trip, but we have a new princess that will be 6 months old...just perfect to tote around the kingdom, we hope!

Anyone know of St. Patty's day fun going on down there? Never been for that...
Looking forward to sharing the joy with everyone here!

I didn't get the mickey heads but those look great. I think they are at lowes. I wanted to use some Disney stickers I have for scrap booking but I couldn't find them. So we just made a basic calendar looking type countdown starting at Days 60 down to 0 and used a bunch of colors to make it. It's not too bad for throwing something together quickly.

Would it be too early to start some kind of packing? I really want to see how much luggage we will need for the four of us for our 8 day trip. This is our first family trip flying anywhere and I want to be prepared, but, I don't want my DH knowing I am obsessed with planning for our trip. Although I think it is too late for that.

I've already started packing some things. Like shorts that they won't be wearing until we go anyways. :lmao: Not in this six inches of snow that we just got anyways. We are driving down, so I've also started buying and packing up things that will keep them busy in the car. My DH (not really DH, but DDP stands for something else here.) already knows how obsessed I am with planning, so there is no need to hide it from him. :dance3: Although he does tell me how crazy I am when I tell him about different dreams that I've had about planning. :confused3

Are you planning on doing laundry while you are there? I've heard of people only bringing four outfits and then washing them in the middle of the week. I don't think I could take time away from my vacation to do chores... so that is out for us. I'll just have to catch up on laundry when we get back.

Hey all you March Dis'ers!

We are at BWV from March 10 - 16th!! Our entire family will be together at Disney for the first time in almost 3 years- oldest in college, middle a senior in HS and youngest in 7th grade- hard to get everyone on the same page but it's finally going to happen. Have all my ADR's set, bought my airfare last week, working on ticket combos now since we will all be arriving/leaving different times and days!! Can you tell I'm excited? Trying some new restaurants this year and really excited about that, but my 2 bedroom Boardwalk view villa is the thing I'm most excited about!! Wooo Hoo!!:cool1:

I'm even more excited tonight as I just found out my sister and her family will be joining us on our trip in March! They are staying off-site at Windsor Hills but we will be able to enjoy the magic of Disney together as a family. I can't wait to see my boys enjoying Disney with their cousins.

This trip just keeps getting better and better!

Susan

That sounds like a lot of fun. I think it would be great if my brother and his family meet us there. But that isn't likely, because they live in OR and I don't think that they will be spending that much money to come to FL.

When is your vacation?

ADR's for our March group.

Do you think we could get a list going?

Mine are: Ohana dinner March 16th, Chef Mickey's breakfast March 17th, Spirit of Aloha dinner show March 18th, Teppan Edo dinner March 19th, Lilo and Stitch breakfast at Ohana March 20, Disney date night at Victoria and Albert's :lovestruc March 20, Whispering Canyon dinner March 21, 8th birthday dinner for my twin boys at Citrico's March 22 :goodvibes, Hollywood and Vine dinner before Fantasmic March 23rd, Kona breakfast March 24th.
Phew! That's going to be a lot of good eating!

I'm looking forward to hearing where everyone else is eating and what their restaurant experiences have been like.

This is our first visit, so I'll have to let everyone know when we come back if we liked them. Most of them are done for the characters or the theme of the meal... not really based on the food. Hope it turns out okay. :rolleyes1 Or I may be living on soft pretzels... :lmao:

We just have one for Askerhaus Breakfast on March 11. It is our first trip so I am not sure when and what we will like eating on this trip. It was hard enough deciding on the day for this one LOL!

Also I am glad to hear I am not alone in pre-packing. :rotfl:

I booked our March 2009 trip back in October. We will be there March 26-April 4!! Staying at CBR. This is a surprise trip for our DD. :ssst: She will be 12 on Saturday (Jan10). So far, I have not spilled the beans and she knows nothing about the trip! :rolleyes1

We live only about 30 miles from the airport and pass by it at least once a month or so when we go shopping, etc. When we go by we jokingly say "where do you want to fly today?" Usually the response is Florida.

Well, the plan is for me to finish the packing the morning of Fri March 26 and have the luggage secretly stowed in the car before DD gets home from school. Then we will leave the house in the afternoon (DD gets out of school early that day for the start of Spring Break) and I'm going to tell her that I have some shopping to do. As we approach the airport the ususal "where do you want to fly today?" will come out and when she says Florida, DH will say "okay" and pull into the airport!!!

Well, I can't wait to see her face!!!

The problem I have is that I am busting at the seams with excitement over this trip :hyper: so I am trying so hard not to let this out. I am spending time here on the DIS :surfweb: to get my fix and let everyone here know so that I don't ruin the surprise!

I'm a little concerned about going over Spring Break week because of the crowds, but it is no longer feasible to pull DD out of school for week. I'm also excited about staying at CBR as this will be our first stay there and it will also be our first stay at a mod. We ususally stay at the values (due to our budget) with the exception of a stay at YC when I was there for a conference.

Well, only 77 more days to keep the secret....

Add me to the list! Santa Mickey must've thought I was really good this year cause I got another chance to go back March 15-18! I already got ressies at Chef Mickey, Crystal Palace, 50's Prime Time, and HOB. :lovestruc

Wow! And I thought I was organized. You all are amazing with your plans from rope drop to eating reservations to Disney trip treats! I'm going to try and learn a few things here.

We will be there March 3 - 10th! I'll be running the Princess Half Marathon and the kids will be doing the mile race. We usually go in January so this time of year is new to us. Hopefully the crowds will be low and the weather beautiful!

Thought I would contribute with posting our ADRs for our March 23rd to March 29th vacation....this includes Me, DH, DD6, DD8, DFIL, and DMIL.

Tuesday March 23rd.....Arrival Day :cool1:
Wednesday March 24th.....Captain's Grille (DFIL's Retirement celebration dinner)
Thursday March 25th.....Crystal Palace breakfast (can't wait to dine with Pooh and friends :goodvibes)
Friday March 26th.....Akershus Breakfast (our traditional Epcot breakfast)
Saturday March 27th.....50's Prime Time Cafe for dinner (DFIL and DMIL's favorite restaurant)
Sunday March 28th.....The ILs leave while we get to play a little bit longer....no plans for ADRs (yet)
Monday March 29th.....Departure Day :sad1: However we do get to play most of the day because we have the last nonstop flight out (not sure which park we are going to be doing so no ADRs, yet again)

This trip we are celebrating both my DFIL's retirement (retires the end of January) and DD8's B-day.

Here are our ADRs for March.

3/8 Crystal Palace Dinner
3/9 Chef Mickey's Dinner
3/11 1900 PF Dinner (DD4th birthday)
3/12 Kona Breakfast
3/13 Akershus Lunch
3/14 Kona Dinner (Just added!)
3/15 Whispering Canyon

We are renting a house for the first 8 days, so most breakfasts will be there. CS and sandwiches for lunch. :goodvibes

I'll be at BWV March 21 - 26th. Can't believe it's just two months away.

DH, DD & I plus our BFF's, Stacey & Bryan are going to March 20 -27. Our daughters are BFF's also.
The only ADR we have scheduled so far is for Saturday, March 20th. Birthday Dinner Celebration at Chef Mickey's! I am so pumped about this trip that I started by first pre-trip report!
Can't wait to read about everyone else's plans!

I'm also excited about staying at CBR as this will be our first stay there and it will also be our first stay at a mod. We ususally stay at the values (due to our budget) with the exception of a stay at YC when I was there for a conference.
You're going to love CBR! I can't wait to hear how your secret goes. :)

Okay, I can finally get excited about our March trip. I am taking my mom, dad, dd(10), sis, bil and their 2.5yr old in a 2bdrm at BLT. Spent a week with them over the holidays and basically brainwashed the 2.5yr old with every Disney movie we could have him watch. He is so ready to go that it has made me forget I am taking a 2.5 yr old boy to Disney. We did re-do some of our dinner ressies to accommodate his attention span (or lack of). Eating earlier than normal (5:30pm) too.

March 14 - dinner, Chef Mickey's
March 15 - The Wave (my dad's birthday) early ressie
16 - either Kona Cafe or room service
17 - either 1900 park fare or room service
18 - UK in Epcot

My DD is so easy when it comes to traveling and is very use to eating out so remembering about the little one will be new. I think we are in for a few nights of dinner in the room. The last thing we want is to have a cranky boy on our hands.

Okay, here's my list. I am getting so excited!:woohoo::woohoo:
