This such a weird place to be in... I hate not knowing. Those who are asking about end of May start of June temps, I feel like it's not too terrible. We've been to Orlando (various parks) in may/june nearly every time we go and while it is hot, its manageable especially if you take advantage of EMH (early or late) and take a break midday. We always do this and with the fp's we get, we ride nearly every thing we want every time. I am delaying paying off my trip until the deadline, because I don't want to be out of the money. If my cruise is canceled, I can only get FCC right now, hoping that might change. I would rather have the cash, due to work being out.

I am trying to look at this from a different perspective, it def sucks to have to cancel or rearrange our trips, I've been planning our 20th anniv. cruise for years now and that is a real possibility of being canceled. We decided to add a few days on for Disney when we got back, again could be canceled. I just try to think of those who are in real predicaments, students missing out on classes, proms, graduations, award ceremonies, sat/act testing etc. Not to make light of our situation, but I know it could be worse. I am currently out of work due to this virus, as a paraprofessional that is contracted our schools aren't paying us like they are those directly employeed. I will have gone at minimum a month between paydays even though it's just 2 weeks of not working, plus a week of spring break I was off anyway. It is a real possibility this virus will cause more schools to cancel the rest of the semester, thus causing more people to be out of a job etc. Anyway not to rant or soapbox, just a bit of perspective from someone who REAALLLLLLY wants to go on my cruise and disney trip!

ugh - I need someone to take over my Disney decision making!! ARGH!! We are booked for June 13-20 for DS's HS graduation trip - that he asked about 3 years ago!!!

I can't push our trip by a few weeks because he will work as a camp counselor at some point during the rest of the summer....and then he heads to college in Aug..

I am now pondering pushing it to December but we've never been in December and I can find DVC availability, for now, and my vets office has room to board the dogs, for now, but I cant decide if I can actually pull the trigger and move the trip now or if I should wait a few more weeks to see if anything starts to get better or if its just going to get worse...

and I guess I feel if I move the trip now then I'm accepting of the fact that the world will be totally in a bad spot for the at least the next 3 months..

Can you book the Dec date and cancel later if need be without losing money? If so I would go ahead and do that now while there is availability for dvc, vet etc. Put mins down if it's refundable, or you can move it later if you go often enough. I thought about bumping our trip too, but my college dd is our sitter for the younger 2 kids and she is a counselor/staff at a mission site all summer as well. She is already planning on being a week and half late for our current trip, I can't ask her to take off in the middle.

This isn't a steep discount. They offer this same thing almost year round. We know. We're locals haha

I think that’s crazy if they do. I think they’ll be closed at least a month. This is my mom’s first trip in 20 years, and the only thing she has been really excited about since my dad passed away. I really really hope we get to go in June with the full parks open. She’s a teacher but she’s planning to retire next year so she said she doesn’t care if they extend the school year- she’s going to Disney lol.

I really think it depends on if people are listening to shelter in place orders and self quarantine requests, and if they have to go out, practice social distancing. That gives hospitals time to treat people, come up with a cure, and get this thing under control. If not, most places in this country could look like Italy, and all of us June travelers won’t have a chance.

We were about to pull the trigger on the first week of June and decided against it for 2 reasons, 1- given the current school situation, wondering if the state may extend their school year and 2- I'm such a planner that knowing we'd be in our FP+ window soon and then booking ADRs with so much uncertainty, I know I wouldn't enjoy that. Instead I think we're going with August and praying for the best. We usually go 2x/yr so if we could squeeze August and mid November in, I'd be thrilled. But honestly, I am just praying everyone is wise, considerate, careful and well. I wish everyone in June a fabulous Pixie Dust filled trip

I'm really not sure if our trip will be a go or not at this point. We're booked for June 5-13, and while I could see WDW reopening if we can get a handle on COVID-19, I'm also seeing a patchwork response to it across the country, so I'm not sure how well it will be stamped down by then. It might be under control in one state, but then with people traveling it could pop up in another location.
I'm trying to reset my expectations and think of it as planning for a trip in 2021 instead of 2020, but it's so hard when it's been 15 years since I was at WDW and we've been planning this trip for over a year already. I know it's not really a tragedy in the big picture, but I'm still sad.

We have a trip booked for 6/16 - 6/27 at ASMo, room only. I hesitate to make any real plans because it was so upsetting having to cancel everything in March. Plus school is cancel indefinitely, not sure what the heck that means now. So everything is up in the air. I'm seriously considering pulling both kids from school and just homeschooling because idk what is going to happen.

We are in the same boat. DD23 will start her 2nd college stint in the BSN program in the fall, and DS18 will start college in the fall. Our dates are about the only time we can go for, well, maybe EVER as a family. We are holding fast, waiting, HOPING that we don't have to cancel

I'm debating canceling June (second half of the month) and booking end of July into early August. I can probably move camps around to do this. I currently have a half DVC / half resort stay. It will be $70 - $100 more per night to stay in late July (while Sun n Fun was extended, Passholder sun n fun does not appear to be). Also, the DVC options are very different, and that will also use more points and/or be in locations I'm not that happy with (I'm a bit picky about distance of room to amenities given the heat of the summer).

I already have the flights for June, and initial view also shows to be about $300-400 more total to move now (though this has been fluctuating; it may come down)

In order to book the second half of our trip I'd need to release my current DVC reservation to free up the points.

I would prefer to stay in June, even if WDW is limited operations. I am only concerned it won't be open in June.

I have a trip booked June 4-18 using rented DVC points. Thankfully, the owner emailed me today and said they would refund my money if the trip gets cancelled. I already had to reschedule my March trip (I was supposed to leave tomorrow) to mid-July. That owner told me I would not get a refund under any circumstances. I am at least hoping that the July trip goes forward or I will be out of $1800.

I think for anyone who has a June trip, it's really a toss up. With that said, depending on how booked, Disney will always let you cancel if they're still closed and of course you can always change your trip if they happen to be open but you decide not to go. I saw that WDW changed their spring room special dates to 4/1-8/31, and it's now a spring and summer room deal. Glad they're extending that offer since we're going ahead and booking for August instead. We've decided June will be another vacation that entails less planning and easy cancellation. For those not sure what to do, I think this is the time you have to be a roll with the punches sort of person. Praying WDW is open and everyone stays safe.

I am holding out for our June trip to Disney and Universal. (June 24- July 9). My son's senior class trip to Disney has been cancelled and we don't know if it will be rescheduled. So I am hoping and praying that our family trip to celebrate his graduation happens.

Changed my March trip to June 9-17, but I am slowly building another back up for August 11-19. If that doesn't happen, well we'll shoot for March 2021.
