*****Official (??) June 2014 Thread -- Party Like It's Hot!*****

Thinking of booking May 31-June 6! Two questions for you vets...
1.) Do you think there will be discounts for booking in this time period?
2.) If yes, when are the discounts usually released?

Thanks!

I am so excited! I just booked plane tickets for our June 23-July 2 trip! We never get to fly because tickets are usually between $400-$500 each person from the 2 closest airports. I was just looking around the other day, and found tickets for $227 each, so I decided to book today. It will be so wonderful not having a 16-17 hour drive this time. It will especially nice since DH isn't going, and I would have had to do all the driving myself!

That is a great price!! Congrats!

How exciting for you! We do a lot of driving, but try no more than 10 hour in a day-adding a hotel overnight. Last month had to drive out to Oklahoma & then turn right around. Sooooo fatigued and took several days to stop the motion fatigue-not something to deal w at WDW.

$227, that's great!! I have been monitoring flight prices for us- so far, they keep dropping so I'm holding off for a bit....

Relax, you can't book FP until around Mid March! If you have your parents reservation number, you should be able to link it when you pull up the "my reservations" page. If not just book the dining with the them added to your party. The toughest part is to decide park visitation, then do dining, then FP. If you add the phone app it will probably remind you can book FP+. Or if you're like me you'll just pull up the MDE site every day or so, look at your plans and sigh happily. :-)

Thank you! I did figure out how to link my parents, finally. And I've done a dew dining ressies, still deciding on a few more. Going in June is different for us, with the parks open later than they are on November/December, it opens up options for us a little more.

And yes, MDE is looked at daily. Can't wait!

Discounts for your dates were just released today for Disney Visa holders! I just got $600 off my trip. They will be released to general Public on 1/6, according to the CM I spoke with.

We go in June 99% of the time and I will be shocked if those hours stay like that. I am guessing the closer we get to June they will be updated and extended.

Would be really sad if they stayed that way. Some of our best memories are late nights in the parks.

I hope so! We booked an extra day in hopes that June Fridays will be EMH; we went 2 years ago and stayed until 3AM! Getting up the next day was brutal, but it was awesome! I am keeping my fingers crossed that they change.

Nice to see another pittsburgher here! Welcome!

Thank you! I'm originally from the Chicago area but I've lived here for over 20 years now. I can finally find my way around.

I look forward to chatting here about June plans. I can't wait to get back to WDW!

Officially BOOKED as of yesterday! Called and got the Disney Visa discount and the free park ticket day. Saved $373!!

SO we will officially be at Port Orleans Riverside May 30-June 5 with 7-day Magic Your Way tickets with Water Park Fun & More!

I was able to get in on the disney visa discount yesterday as well! We had to switch our resort due to POFQ having a very small discount. But we r excited to get to try out POR! Plus the switch with the discount saved us $430! Can't wait until May 31!

Same with us. We originally wanted to stay at POFQ, but who can turn down a 25% savings? Our dates are May 30-June 5.

Hello Amy!

I guess I should officially join this thread too!

Name: Colleen

Travel Party: Me, DS: 10 (turning 11 while we are there), DD: 7, DD: 5....plus my cousin who lives there and joins us pretty much daily

Travel Dates: June 23 - July 2

Favorite Disney Character: Daisy

Favorite Disney Movie: It's gotta be Frozen...and Cinderella

How Many Trips?: 10 (1989 (June), 1996 x2 (both in March), 1998 (July), 2000 (DL - July), 2001 (December), 2011 (June), 2012 (July), 2013 x2 (March & May/June)

On-Site or Off?: On for all but the first 1996 trip.

Best Disney Story: Wow...best good or best worst? Ha! Last year, we went on a combine WDW/Cruise trip with 13 family members. We had everyone from age 4 to almost 84. We had the time of our lives! In 12 days, we had a trip to a walk-in clinic which resulted in a shot for my 4 year old, spent 3 days at MK, spent 1 day at Epcot and HS (including a ride on ToT with the 4 AND almost 84 year old), celebrated 2 birthdays (we had to leave the day of AK and the 3rd bday), endless ice cream cones, 2 girls made into princesses at BBB, 4 nights on the dream, and endless magic and memories!

Favorite Disney Picture: Can't post a pic, but it's that picture I take every time we are driving under the Disney World sign!

What do you look forward to most on your next trip? Besides just being there and enjoying WDW with my kids and cousin, I am looking forward to celebrating DS's 11th bday at Disney!

When DH comes we always drive straight through. Last year when I drove by myself, we did 8 hours and 8 hours on the way there, and drove straight through on the way back. I also drive 10 hours nearly every summer to visit my family in Wisconsin. My kids are very good in the car, so that helps a lot!

I had only been monitoring for a few days, but the prices were the cheapest I have ever seen them, so I decided to go ahead and book!

That is a great price!! Congrats!
Thank you! I am so happy we will not have to drive this time. It will be a 2 hour direct flight, and that is it!
