Where Will You Be Staying?:All Star Movies
Travel Party: The usual motley crew: Me, my 19yr old daughter Meg, 16 yr old son Andrew, my spunky mom Jean and this yr we have a newbie! My daughter's b/f Rob is joining us.
Current Location: Plymouth ma
Favorite Disney Character: Walt! lol or maybe Mickey
Favorite Disney Movie: Toy Story (all of them)
How Many Trips?: 11 for me so far (8 for me, mom & the kiddos)
On-Site or Off? On from now on!
Best Disney Story: wow..... so many memories. Cant pick just one

Due to the FP+ changes....... we put ALOT more effort into planning this years itinerary.
First my daughter and I made lists and schedules and charts, looking at EMH and FP+. Then Mom, Meg, and myself sat down ...... we know which park we're starting out each day , what rides we're going to 1st, which CS for lunch, approx time to park-hop to the next park which is where our FP+ will be for that day, where dinner CS will be and what night show we might be aiming for that night.

We've never planned to THIS extent before..... but we're concerned about the wait times for rides since we're limited to 3 FP+ per day.

So we have a BEAUTIFUL calendar made up that would frighten some people, but it makes us smile.

We like to plan...but we like to have some wiggle room in our day. Not so sure how FP+ will work out for us, but we're excited to give it a go!

What do you look forward to most on your next trip? SWW weekends! I can't wait to see the spectacle that is DHS during this time!

The last time I went my wife and son were with me, but they can't make it this time . My biggest concern is with Magic Bands (big surprise). They weren't even a thing the last time we went. I am doing my best to keep up with all of the news, but trying to predict what will happen with them by June is giving me a headache. What do you guys do to keep from going Magic Band crazy?

Last June, our KTTW card worked the same way the magic bands will. It was nice, especially dragging in carrying stuff, to just have your card in hand and kind of wave it at the door to get it open. I've heard a few people say that there were some issues with the MB. Hopefully, all the kinks will be worked out by the time we all get there...

Travel Dates (if known): June 8-20
Where Will You Be Staying?: BLT
Travel Party: 3
Current Location: Pittsburgh area
Favorite Disney Character: Mickey
Favorite Disney Movie: 101 Dalmatians
How Many Trips?: about 5
On-Site or Off?: on
What do you look forward to most on your next trip? Seeing New Fantasyland

I have ADRs made. I'll figure out how to add them to the form.

Hello June travelers:wave:

My DD used to call 101 Dalmatians "the puppies with the spots!" She loved that movie and has probably watched it as much as (if not more) than the princess movies!

Adding to the form is EASY. Just click the link, type, and close. Just like that! It will automatically save whatever you type as you type it! What's really cool is to see a group all working on a document at the exact same time, seeing their changes pop up as you try to do your part. :thumbsup2

Will be arriving on June 10 with my daughter, son in law and much adored 6 year old grandson. I can't wait to see his reactions to the characters. Last time he was afraid of the characters, but he says he can't wait to meet them this time. We shall see. We are staying at Pop

Terri

I believe he'll have a great time. Who is his favorite character? He'll have to collect signatures, so he'll need a fat pen (or a Sharpie works, too) and something to sign. We've done the autograph books and large blank note cards. I've heard of taking a pillow case or t-shirt and using an embroidery hoop to make the fabric taut enough so they can sign with the marker. Plenty of great ideas!

Finally booked our trip. June 1-9! I'm trying to figure out this MDE thing and it's driving me bonkers. It has me added as my own friend, and I can't delete it. I'm trying to put my parents in there, too, because they are traveling with us on a separate reservation, but they don't have email or anything, so I'm trying to make reservations for all of us. The app is not cooperating. Anyway, I'm now in a rush to figure out park times and dining, and now I have to figure out the Fast Pass stuff too? Do I need to schedule FP now? This is getting way too complicated. But I'm still excited! Debbie

P.S. Staying at ASMU Suites, for the 4th time. Love that place!

Mama23babies, I've got you updated on the list! Not sure how to fix that in MDE, but maybe it will work itself out.

When you get your jump drive, it has a magnet with a list of dates for when you can make what reservations. I still can't imagine saying "I want to ride X at Y time" that far in advance!

Omg that cake is stunning! I think dd wants a goofy cake. She is in this odd goofy phase right now! I keep checking your dis meet times to see if any work with my schedule Hopefully we can meet up!

Thank you! That top picture is the drawing I made of what I wanted. DD loved it. Totally cruise the cake boards and see what ideas you can find.

We haven't totally gotten all of our plans worked out yet. I'm sure we can work something out between now and then... ;)

Just got all our ADR'S...

Breakfasts..
Ohana
Crystal Palace

Lunches..
T Rex
Coral Reef
Sci Fi Diner
Rainforest Cafe

Dinners...
50's Prime Time Cafe
Askerhaaus
Boma
Raglans

Good selection for us and exactly what we wanted....hope we are as lucky when it is time of fp+ :)

Totally not a problem! Just checking to make sure no one has made plans and forgotten to post. Or (which may be more likely) posted updated plans and I didn't see them!

That's me. We changed due to Father's day- we'll be there 7-13.

For the record, I love Disney in the rain! (As long as it isn't part of the thunder/lightning package....) In 2011, my sister-in-law and I rode EE 5 or 6 times in a row..walked on. We were SOAKED when it was over, but we had a blast!

We did that! We rode POTC 3 times in a row after Winnie the Pooh twice last time. Our flashing light night balloons rode low and got back to the resort soaked but happy.

I had a heck of a time with our ADRs. I just didn't have time to come on here, too. Lots going on.

Anyway, I booked them online in the middle of the night. Well... most of them. I had a hard time doing the +10 online, going in the main search worked but not through the individual restaurant pages. :crazy2:

I got a 5:30pm CRT for our actual anniversary. Total bummer! We wanted after 8pm so the fireworks go while we are there. You don't get a direct view but there is some visual and it's awesome and the last time we were there someone by the window proposed during fireworks (total accident on our time last time). :lovestruc So I have :::warmfuzzy::: thoughts about that. :goodvibes

We couldn't get any BOG at all. I was crushed since I waited 2 days I thought I missed it.

Then I called about cancellations and was told for CRT there was a glitch in reservations- that the dinner, any after 6pm, had not been released yet. So I waited a couple days and sure enough- I got an 8:30! pixiedust:

Still no BOG for the first few days and I didn't want the 4pm dinner I had in the last half. So I booked our Fireworks dessert party for our first night. We originally paper-planned on doing BOG dinner our first night and the fireworks on Wednesday.

Then BOG opened up! pixiedust: We got a 7pm on Wednesday, so I was happy. I went ahead and checked our first night- snagged a 7pm there, too! We might cancel that one since we have the dessert party, not sure yet. :woohoo:

We upgraded to DxDDP, we will have some out-of-pocket costs since dining is per night and we are going to be there 7 full days with our 6 nights (only an hour drive for us). Once I get some spare time (probably should do it now, lol), I will go through the costs and determine which meals we'll pay out-of-pocket. Probably breakfast and/or buffet.

Our ADRs are:
6/7-6/13
Day 1:
Magic Kingdom
Crystal Palace
Liberty Tree
BOG
Fireworks Party

Day 2:
Animal Kingdom

O'Hana
Rainforest
Yak & Yeti

Day 3:
Epcot

Akershus
Coral Reef
Tepon Edo

Day 4:
Hollywood Studios

Hollywood and Vine
50s Sci-Fi
Mama Melrose

Day 5:
Animal Kingdom/Magic Kingdom
Chef Mickey's
Resort Lunch
Be Our Guest

Day 6:
Magic Kingdom
Crystal Palace
Be Our Guest lunch (should be fun? ;))
Cinderella's Royal Table- our actual 5yr anniversary!

Day 7:
Magic Kingdom
Crystal Palace
T-Rex late lunch on the way home

Luck was on your side for adrs. It was meant to be. Thats awesome that u got BOG. You have some really good restaurants picked

I found this around, it's what I used to determine we would be better off getting DxDDP than paying OOP. We get appetizers and desserts and there are 4 of us (the baby will be just over a year old then).

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3050182&highlight=dining+calculator

It's an Excel sheet. Some of the restaurants are off (had to switch Yak & Yeti dinner w/Rainforest Cafe lunch) but it said we'd be saving around $540 by getting DxDDP.

I just saw this today so I'm playing with it now:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3131089&highlight=distripplanner+com

This one says we will save $609.50 :cool1:
It also says even if we had regular dining, we'd save $21 and have 20 QS remaining. :confused3 Heh.

*Looks like it works out which meals we should pay OOP- 2 of the Crystal Palace breakfasts. I figured as much!

Chef's Table sounds fun. Perhaps if you did it with a few dining restrictions when you book it? I know there are some places that, if you tell them you have eating restrictions of some kind, they will go over the top to accommodate you.

Say, we'll be in Epcot for my birthday on the 24th! :D (Not 100% sure yet about the rest of the trip, though, other than what ADRs we've done. We are not park hoppers, nor are we midday nappers. When we hit a park, we try to stay open to close. Sometimes sounds like we're crazy like that. :cool2:)

Good luck on getting your vacation dates! Mom has to put hers in one day at a time and hope for the best. (Retail...) Sometimes, it sure is nice to be a teacher and have all summer off (but it would be nice to go in the off season eventually...[)

I don't know how I'm suppose to do this but I am going to cancel a BOG ADR for 6/22 at 4pm just to let everyone know if they are interested. :)

I’m looking at the hours for June…is MK really not open past 10 pm except on Sunday’s for EMH? Does that seem odd to anyone else? How “final” do you think the posted hours are? Last year they were open until 11 or 12 most nights even without EMH.

I notice the same thing every week on the "Park Hours". When I was at Disney this past August, the hours said MK was open till 10 but in reality, it was open till midnight everyday except Sunday when it was open till 1 or 2am. I wish disney would update the real hours one day

Welcome and glad to see you joining us all at Disney in June. We are neighboring states as i'm from Illinois. Hope your dates get approved from work. When you get your vacation approved and your adr's made, feel free to post them on here for all to see :)

We go in June 99% of the time and I will be shocked if those hours stay like that. I am guessing the closer we get to June they will be updated and extended.

Would be really sad if they stayed that way. Some of our best memories are late nights in the parks.

Hi, All!

I have to avoid this forum when not planning a trip, but with a trip finally being planned again this year. I am back! :cool1:

Our trip will straddle the end of June beginning of July. I need my husband to pick the dates. I do know we will be staying at POFQ.

I look forward to chatting it up! :)
