A few question for you guys, Are flip flops a total no no when it comes to a whole day at the park? That's all I wear at home but the hubs says gym shoes are what we need to wear.
Are there any places that are Wi-Fi? I know the All start movies is not and there is a fee for the day and also a cable that I need to bring. I was wondering if there are any places in WDW that are Wi-fi?

I need the internet just a few times while we are there to do banking.

I wouldn't wear flip-flops all day, but I know there are others who do it. I wear either sneakers or crocs, but not the flip-flop style crocs.

There's WiFi in public area of some of the resorts. I can't remember them all offhand, but I think the Contemporary, Beach/Yacht Club, Grand Floridian and Coronado have it, and maybe a few others. You shouldn't have to bring a cable to use the high speed internet at AsMo, there's a cable there, but it's pretty short, so you may want to bring one unless you want to be tethered to spot where the cable is.

I'm a flip flop girl too. I wear them in the parks, but alternate the days (I don't wear the same pair two days in a row). I have a pair of Merrell slides that I wear too. I hate wearing running shoes in the summer, unless of course I'm running!

I can't take it! We are leaving on Monday morning!!!!!!!!!

I cannot believe we are going to be arriving in WDW this coming Tuesday. Leaving Monday from PA via car. (First time, we usually fly).

It is SO close, I almost can't stand it. This may sound really, really odd, but in some ways, I want the time to DRAG. The anticipation here, while killing me, is also fun. Plus, I can't help thinking that in just 12-13 more days, I'll be sitting right back here in front of my comp.

Ah well, look out WDW, here we come again!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hehe, we thought about it too, picking up some plane tickets last minute or so, but with an 8 month old, diapers and food, well, we decided to stick with the driving plan this time.

In 10 days I will be in Disney!! Staying at POR June 24 - July 1.

We leave in 10 days too! I'm thinking of trying the online check-in, but I'm going to wait until this coming Saturday or next Sunday.

I wore flip-flops everyday back on our January trip, except our AK day. At the end of the day, my feet hurt so bad, so I switched back to flip flops for the rest of the trip. I just cannot stand wearing socks and sneakers when it's 90 degrees outsdie. Yuck!

I wear flip flops to the parks, but the better kind, not your Old Navy variety, but more like Adidas or Skechers. Never had any problems as long as I had them broke in a bit.

Oh and only 6 more days!!

Well, well, well, rainyday. Seems we'll be across the bridge from each other (I'm going to be at POFQ).

Perhaps we'll see each other! I've noticed on the (un)official thread, there are several staying at the Port Orleans resort at the same time. Lots of opportunity to meet some one!

Only five days till Disney!!! Only two days until we leave. The only stuff left to pack is my park stuff and Make-up/jewelry.

About the shoes I'll wear flip-flops some days and tennis shoes others. I plan on wearing my havaianas, they are so comfy!

We are leaving Sunday from the Reading airport! I don't think i could drive but would love to hear how the drive is freom PA

We are from southern PA. We left this morning at around 9:00. We stopped at Mt. Vernon for a few hours. We are now in Fayetteville NC for the night. We will get up tomorrow and head to Orlando. We don't check into WL until Tues. morning. SO far the drive has been fine. No issues. We are on 95 because of Mt. Vernon however, when we come home we are going up 95 to 26, 70, and 81. This is to avoid the Richmond, DC, Baltimore corridor.

The hotel we are in right now is great.

There is wifi at Coronado Springs for a fee. You should check with your cell provider though. I have a storm and I am able to tether my phone to my laptop for internet access anytime or anywhere I need to. This may be an option for you and it may save you a few bucks.

Crocs make my feet raw and hot at the bottom. They are great for the first part of the day. After a few miles and some serious heat, I am searching for water to douse my feet!!!

I do the same thing!! The ONLY reason I bring my running shoes is for the gym.

Old Navy Flippy Floppies are the only ones I buy
It's good to wear them AFTER they are broken in real good though. I have a high arch and I make sure to bring my most broken-in flip flops that I own. I don't like the other flip flops because I have wide feet and I will get blisters on the sides. The Old Navy ones are wide, open, and very comfortable. I can walk allllll day long without any problems when wearing them.

Maybe I can wear my flip flops the first day since it will be AK and will not be a whole day type thing and see how that goes. If not, have any of you just taken gym shoes in your backpack just in case? or that to much stuff to carry?

I REALLY love my flip flops but do not want to be the one holding us back.
