We just got back from a trip in early December and hadn't planned on going again for a long time, but my DS and DDIL came over Saturday and said they had decided to book in June with the 4/3 deal. Well, it took some convincing with DH but we are going with them.

We booked on Monday for June 15 - 22 at POP. It's my first time at a value and I'm a little nervous about it but it was what the kids could afford. I'm so excited about planning for this trip. It's my DDIL's first trip to WDW and DS hasn't been there since 2002.
Don't worry, you will love Pop. We do, I sometimes prefer it to a Deluxe, feels more like I am in Disney, especially in the summer. Pop just feels like summer. Dh and I now stay in a moderate so we can get a King bed, since there is no guarantee at Pop, or we would always stay at Pop.
We stayed at AKL in Dec for 9 days and I was miserable, while the other half of the family was at Pop enjoying themselves. Not that I wanted to be that close to them, I just would have preferred Pop over AKL, wont be staying there again, that was miserable.
I hope I don't sound bad, I haven't even started any planning for our June trip. We are doing the QS dining plan, so I don't need but maybe 1 or 2 reservations and the only one I really care about is for my birthday breakfast and I haven't decided where to have it yet. It has to be a character breakfast, though. I will take suggestions. We have done almost all of them, except the one at AK and Cape May Cafe, I think

I am thinking about Chef Mickey's in memory of mom, but I just can't bring myself to go there, because I mihgt cry since she won't be there, except in spirit. I was thinking the castle, but I didn't enjoy it for the money it cost.
We are going to throw caution to the wind and probably try one water park and some other oudoor summer activities. I want to rent a pontoon boat one afternoon. We may not even schedule our park days and just go where we want to, thoise days are more fun anyway and if I get tired of one park, I can hop to another. We had thought about taking a day to go to Sea World, but I just don't think I want to do that after all. We might do a couple of tours. we will be back in Sept and probably Dec, and those will probaly short prak only trips, so I want to have as much fun in June as possible.
