~~*Official July 2013 Thread!*~~Our Month has Arrived!

SO I know I didn't talk about it here because I didn't want to be a downer, but my father in law had a heart attack on July 4th... and he is ok folks! Still going to Disney. Doctor cleared him to travel as long as he takes it easy, he has a built in defibrillator that went off a bunch of times, but it all looks fine now. Whew. We almost didn't go to FLA this week, we almost went to visit him in Charlotte, but he's feeling well right now, and ready to travel tomorrow. Good grief! Im sad he can't join us in the parks or go on rides. He will do a half day and dinner at Epcot with us, and spend the rest of the time at the Resort. He is a go getter and doesn't sit around well. Our last vacation he was out Go Carting with all the boys all day long. I hope he heals completely and can Go Kart again!

So we are all locked in with a visit to Hollywood Studios on July 15th and dinner at Prime Time... I made the dining reservation LAST NIGHT. I was shocked I got a table.

Got our ponchos and chilly pads today. Charged all the camera batteries, set up the pet sitter, dropped the Guinea pig off at the Guinea Pig rescue for a vacation, (lol) and tomorrow we fly outta here!

3 days before we start the drive! Just have to pack. Tonight I have been watching Destination America - they have a marathon running of "Behind the Scenes at Disney" episodes. I've seen most of them, but it's making me even more excited to go!

Same here! Beginning our drive on Thursday and I'm watching the same Disney program now. Undiscovered Disney!

17 days until we start our drive...Our oldest son's baseball team will be playing in the state tournament this weekend and we found out should they win, they would qualify for the national tournament to be held in Lousiana July 26-29. We head out from Texas to Florida on the 25th! Is it wrong of me to hope the team loses? He is 11, and he originally said that he would rather play baseball than go to Disney, but this morning he asked me if I would "make him" go to Disney! I asked him what he really wanted to do, and he replied that he wanted me to "make him go" so that he would not have to make that kind of decision. (He later confessed that he was worried his teammates and coaches would be mad at him, so I told him I would be happy to take the blame!) After all, I've already paid for him! I do want the team to do well, but I have worked on our trip plans since January, and I don't want anything (baseball included, and I LOVE baseball) to get in the way!

Sorry to hear about your FIL but glad to hear he is doing well and your trip is going ahead!!

This time next week we'll be checking in for our flight and going for airport brekkie!! 7 sleeps!! Well probably 6 sleeps and one night of tossing and turning worrying about sleeping in ;-)

tell your son for us to have a great game! He is very thoughtful, kind and understanding. 17 days will fly by quickly.
