Question of the day..What is something you think most people overlook, but that you recommend people do at least once?

My mom and I had an wonderful time doing the Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian. Our server was so amazing. We took our time and enjoyed a 3 course tea. We were never rushed and at the end we were both presented with a long stem pink rose! I suggest everyone try it once if that's your kind of thing. It was perfect for a mother/daughter celebration and was actually my Christmas gift to my mother. Plus you can get this delicious dessert!

The only thing I can think of is the Boardwalk (at night). My boys LOVE watching the street performers there. They are hysterical! Especially Brian Starron (you may already know who I'm talking about, he has quite the following). We usually have dinner at FF and spend the night on the BW. I can't believe how many people I've talked to that have never been to the BW.

I have been to WDW many times but still looking forward to the responses for some ideas.
I've already talked to my sister about taking my mom for afternoon tea at GF for her B-Day in July. Thanks for that one!!!

I haven't done too many extras, but I really enjoyed the Behind the Seeds tour in the Land. It was a cool experience. We fed the fish, released lady bugs into the green house, saw really cool genetically grown plants. From a teachers perspective it was really fun. I love learning new things.


We also got a chance to see a lion getting it's teeth cleaned at Ak once. It was extremely cool to see the behind the scenes work.

Has anyone ever done the pirates and pals cruise? If so was it good? Seems alot of money but my 5 year old son is Peter Pan daft!! Also where does Peter Pan do appearances round the parks? X

If you have any questions about the tea feel free to ask. We did the full 3 course tea with sparkling wine (the grand tea) but you can get things a la carte too! I loved the scone with lemon curd along with the trifle i posted before.

I know it's only 57 days left!!! It is going to fly by. I'm a second grade teacher and the last 2 months of school go by so FAST. Yes I said 2 whole months almost ( with all the snow days we don't get out til June 26 UGH!!!)but with all the end of year things to get done you don't know where the time goes.
I'll be in FL for the whole month of July. I'm so excited about this trip. I don't know how I am ever going to be able to leave. Lol

Our condolences!!! My wife and I are also elementary teachers but for the 2nd year in a row we have had no bad weather days so we are out May 24th! Of course, we start our year in mid-August.....
Anyway only 57 more days! We have used the on-line check in for the first time without any glitches. After several WEEKS of e-mails and calls, our reservation is finally relinked to our MDE account and we have tons of ADRs since everytime we lost all our ADRs, we made a new set and now they are all showing up!!!! But better too many than too few! Yes, we will cancel tons in the next few days. Ordered t-shirts from Disney Store on-line and are down to the final planning. Found out a stepson, his wife, and three boys are moving in with us while waiting for a new house! But at least I will have 11 days of sanity at WDW right after they move in. One son should be born the day before we leave! We even got Disney Travel to change our air without any penalty when they changed our reservations and the new ones had us with 55 minutes from wheels on the runway to takeoff to change planes in Atlanta arriving on a regional Delta partner and leaving for Orlando on Delta. Anyone hear anything else DEFINITE about FastPass+? We are assuming we won't have to worry about that in July, but will have to deal with it for our Dec trip. It will be cool that we can make our 180+10 days ADRs on June 22, before we leave for our July trip.

I don't really have a favorite. I just like to look in all of them b/c they all have something different. I love finding something new that I hadn't seen anywhere else.

I'm happy to say we are not staying at a hotel. We bought a condo recently and we are so excited. Last month it still felt like someone else's house. Hoping this time it'll start feeling more like home.
I will miss staying on property though.
