Do you need to make up days over April vacation??
By the ages of you kids- are you a teacher?
What a bummer!!

As for prices it was way cheaper for us to fly out in July than April. ???

I am a teacher. We were going to drive in April! My son also has some special needs and I'm worried about how he will behave in the big crowds.

Our kids are 4 and 6 now, but we have gone every year since my daughter was 8 months old and we have been each year in the summer. We get up early for rope drop, take mid day breaks, and then head back in the evenings. It is hot, but completely doable. I think I mind the heat more than the little ones.

I am a teacher, so it is very hard to go any other time of the year. It was also cheaper for us to fly down in July rather than for a spring or winter break.

Maybe we will consider it. We have 3 days to make up so far from the blizzard over April vacation leaving us with only 2 days. So unless they forgive the days ( can hope for a miracle ha) the April trip is off.

Another teacher here so I totally get it.
We never drove down during a school vacation week b/c I thought one week wasn't long enough for the drive.
We always go for April vaca. This year I'm taking 2 personal days before just to help with the ridiculous flights.
We are however driving in July b/c we just bought a condo. And we need to bring our dog. We will be there for the whole month.

Like I said before we are not totally moving. My DH will be working down there and working from home a few days a week. It's kind of the best of both worlds b/c I had serious anxiety about moving my boys at this point in their lives.

I am driving down with DH this Friday- he starts job on Mon. and flying home alone Tues. night.

Yea it would have been a crazy trip but I've never been other than summer and was determined to do it. We are not allowed personal days before/after school vacation.

Ok we have officially moved from April to July 20 - 27at Pop. Have to redo our ADR plans. We are from CT and this is our first family trip to WDW. Did DCL last summer and LOVED it. This trip will be me, DH, DS 4 and DD 2. Excited but nervous about the crowds and heat with my LO's.

We LOVE going the last week of August. It has been our best trips. Low crowds. and great discounts!!!
We go back after Labor Day to and have plenty of time to get back.
