*****OFFICIAL July 2012 Thread! Feelin' HOT HOT HOT!

:wave2: Hello everyone. Haven't had time to do much planning but time is flying by and in a few months we can start making our ADRs:love:

Seriously, my sister and I are talking about the ADRs for the trip...we will be booking ADRs at the end of January, which gives us just over 2 months to make the decision. And with January being my crazy month (because of SING) at work, I told my sister that we need to finalize them by the end of Xmas break...and that's soon! :thumbsup2

I have not booked yet, we know we have to be checking out by July 12th because that it when our APs expire. DD graduates from high school this year, and I am sure June will be filled with graduation parties that she will want to go to. I am thinking we might do July 1 through July 12. I need to book soon. I always feel better when it is official!

YAY...sounds like you've just about made up your mind! I understand about making things official...I always feel more "at ease" when I have my next vacation booked! ;)

My sister finally booked the Dolphin for her and the girls, and my parents too. So it feels more official to all of us! My dad already sent me a link to a video of the Dolphin...and I reminded him that I went into that hotel last summer to get something to eat! :lmao: It is so beautiful there, and they are going to love it! We're all excited because this time, they are just a short walk from BWV (our DVC home). Last time they were at Pop Century so we met up at each theme park...this time we will be able to travel to the parks together, making it even more fun! :thumbsup2

Just a short note to say hello to everone, been very busy just like the rest of us here on the Disboard. DD and I are getting ready for the Holiday's and we would like to wish all of you friends out there a very safe and Happy Holiday's to all.

We'll be on the disboard off and on but, I wanted to wish you all a great Holiday's'

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I booked our flight home on SW already since the price was only $114 pp but still waiting to book our flight to Disney.

Well if you keep those dates we will be there until the 6th.:goodvibes

I really need to sit down with DH and go over everything. They added Jake from the Neverland Pirates to Hollywood & Vine so I need to convince DH to eat there as he is not a big fan.

WOW...Jake and the Neverland Pirates?! I might have to rethink breakfast at H&V...the boys outgrew Playhouse Disney (Disney Junior), but they like that show. Hmm...we'll see! Hope it fits into our plans!

So is everyone getting ready to make their ADRS? Since we are going in June/July I was able to make all mine this week:cool1:

I feel so late!!! I have not even booked yet :scared1:

I am waiting to hear the big announcement on Saturday, but we still really do not have our dates figured out. I guess I need to get busy!!!

Michelle - what ADRs did you make?

Hopefully I can do that after this weekend. :goodvibes

Nice ADRs! We love San Angel Inn lunch (returning again in July), 1900PF breakfast, Sci-Fi and CM! I'm working out our ADRs, which I can book on January 25th (24 more days and counting!).

YAY! Welcome to the July 2012 thread! Are you going on a Disney cruise? Where is the cruise going?

I do the same thing when we are not on the DDP - book late lunches!!! Those are great ADRs. We are hoping to try Tusker House breakfast and Ohana dinner is my new favorite after last summer! I absolutely loved 1900PF breakfast too - the Mad Hatter is excellent, and I like the fact they do the omelettes to order.

We still need to book - my DD is graduating high school and she is worried about missing graduation parties - but our APs expire July 12th. I really do not want to arrive later than July 1st (worst case) and we still don't know if we will fly or drive - depends on the airfare rates. Not sure where we are staying - DH prefers two rooms at a value so we can spread out so we may end up at Pop again. We are going for spring break - probably staying at AS Movies.......

YAY! Welcome to the July 2012 thread! Are you going on a Disney cruise? Where is the cruise going?

Yes, we are going on the Disney Dream to the Bahamas. It's our first cruise and we are really excited. We just decided this morning too that we are going to stay at the Poly for our days Pre-cruise. I am really excited. We haven't stayed at the Poly I'm a long time.

I so want to do a Disney cruise!!! The Poly is my favorite MK resort - that is a great choice!

SanAngel, SciFi, Plaza & Coral Reef are all new to us so I can't wait to try them.

We loved TH for breakfast but we are going to try lunch this time and Ohana's dinner has become one of our favorites.

:welcome: We have never stayed at the Poly but that is on my wish list:cloud9:

I love the Plaza too - the food is more basic but has always been very good. Sci Fi is a great experience. We want to try San Angel one of these days.

We ate at Ohana for the first time last July and I just loved it. I was worried because it tends to get mixed reviews. I am looking forward to Tusker House!

You will fall in love with cruising! I have never been on a Disney cruise, but I have been on 14 cruises, and they are wonderful! My 2 favorite types of vacations are WDW vacations, and cruises! If I did nothing but those forever, I would be a very happy camper.

We really loved San Angel last time for lunch, even though I was so skeptical because of mixed reviews. I think that sometimes people are expecting more tex-mex, but it is not a place that is known for nachos, burritos and stuff like that. DH and I like new and different types of foods, so this was right up our alley. I had chicken tostadas from the app menu for my lunch, and it was delicious! Their margaritas were also very good and make for a very *interesting* boat ride afterwards (the restaurant overlooks the boat ride)!!!

Sci-Fi is so much fun, and we loved their burgers! Looking forward to it again in July...it's a very nice break from the heat.

We might go to Plaza for lunch one day...their menu looks basic, but very nice for a quiet lunch.

We are trying Ohana for the first time...didn't go in the past because of mixed reviews, plus we wanted to try Kona for dinner first (which we loved). This time, we will start our trip going to Kona for lunch (also trying it for breakfast one morning), and we are going to Ohana for dinner one night. It seems like it would be really fun for the boys!

I am hoping that I feel the same way! I am very excited! We are not going to tell the kids we are going. We are just going to go to Disney world like usual and then get up the last morning and go to the port. I hope they are surprised! I am really excited also that it looks like it will be the Poly! My DH gave the approval tonight. He said he would prefer AKL but will do the Poly if I want and I do so I guess I just need to book it for sure. Yay!

We love Kona. It is our favorite restaurant at the Poly. We like it better than 'Ohana's. And since not as many people pick it, it is easier to get an ADR for it. I hope you like lunch and breakfast.

We have had both breakfast and lunch at Kona - and you are right, it is very good and an "undiscovered gem". We have done a walk up for lunch. We were skeptical of Ohana for the same reasons, but we had free dining last summer so decided to take the chance and I am so glad we did. I look forward to going back there!
