For those of you who were keeping up with my job situation, I learned today that I WILL be rehired back for next year and I'm moving up a grade level!! VERY relieved!! Now I'm SOOOO ready for WDW!

In July trip news, bags are packed I'm ready to go. Just need the date to get here!

Yay! I don't get how some people can do that so far ahead of time. We wear most of our clothes right up until a few days before the trip and I am always doing that last-minute laundry to wash___that the kids insist on bringing.

WOW - that's unusual.

i love shutterfly. i get books from them every year from our wedding album, pregnancy, cassie's birth, year books vacation books.

one year i ordered them a little later then usual (usually when they go on sale in OCT for christmas gifts) and when i hadn't received them by early DEC i called and they reprinted and shipped - mid jan I still had not received any of them so i called again. 2 weeks later i received an order. 3 days later another set a week later another set LOL

so here i was with 12 wedding albums, 6 year books and 18 of the same 10x13 wedding photo

we decided to give everyone in the wedding party a book and all the aunts and uncles a year book. Shutterfly's delivery mix up now costs us a fortune every year becuase after we gave the aunts year books it kind of became the thing to do the next year and now 5 years later we're spending tons because we can't stop giving them

ok i know we could stop but really could you LOL

They got you! I love Shutterfly's books. We do one for every trip. I am not a scrapbooker, but I do get that done.

We'll be there July 2nd-10th. July 2nd-6th we'll be at Pop Century. July 7th-10th we're at Old Key West.

Ok--so I called the Poly IPO after hearing from a friend who did the surfing lessons at TL the other day. She LOVED it! So I thought I'd book DH and the kids, and I can go and videotape with my new Kodak PlaySport--a waterproof vid/still camera that I just ordered from Amazon. But we have to be there at 5:45. AM! That means taking a cab from the resort at 5:15ish to be there on time. It's a planned waterpark day. I just can't decide.

I have decided that I need to get off the computer, stop listening to my new cd's - "Wishes, Spectro, etc..." and join my husband for some quality time together. He is going to start complaining soon. I have been working on tip envelopes all night - haven't come up with anything I like. Anyone have any suggestions where to look??

we stood round about where the BoardWalk resort shows their beach movie and watched a few minutes of EPCOT's fireworks so i know you can see them from there

or the beach at Poly

i haven' heard anyone say they can see fireworks from DTD but if you can i'd love to know because we're eating at Captn Jacks the first night we arrive and will be finishing up round about the time when EPCOT should be starting.

Oh my gosh you guys, I must have somehow unsubscribed to this thread! I kept checking my user cp and this one wasn't updating so I thought "huh, must be everybody's too busy to post." Got curious, searched and whammo, things have been hoppin' around here!!!!!

First off, Nikki, congratulations on your rehire - that must be a huge relief!!! We were working on next year's schedule today trying to figure out how to schedule all of the newly .8 middle and high school shared faculty. It's a nightmare!!!!

Here in Vermont we felt the earthquake too - it was FREAKY!!!!

Root canals - so sorry for you guys having to go through that! I'd never had any problems with my teeth - no cavities, nothing for 43 years, and then last year, BANG, had a root canal, post, bridge and filling on the other side. I didn't know what hit me!!!

Anyway, wow, I missed a lot but catching up now! Oh and this was my last day at school!!!!

Welcome! I have added you to the list on page 180 - what a fun last minute trip! I do not think DTD is doing fireworks this year. I think I read that either on the Disboards, or on the Disney site.

I don;t get it either. I'm lucky if I'm done packing the night before we leave. Many times I'm still packing in the morning.

I got the designs I used for my tip envelopes from the DISign board. Lots and lots to choose from and there are designs specifically for tip envelopes.

Oh, dentist update: I have to get 2 fillings done 2 days before Disney. She doesn't do the old style metal fillings and the process is much easier so I'm hoping it will all be ok.

I was wondering if they would work for my girls to sit on while in the stroller ... I know their bums get very warm, so would these help to keep them cool? Or do they need to be in the open air to work? We ordered some yesterday and plan to try them out either way ... I figure it'll help us cool down, esp around our necks.

Normally I only pack a week in advance but this time I started 3 weeks early. We certainly have enough other clothes to wear now and this way I know for sure that DD5, DD1 and even DH won't mess up the Disney clothing right before the trip. (We coordinate colors each day, too).

I'm also doing the one ziploc bag a day thing. I'm a bit worried about wrinkling but it'll be so much easier to pull one ziploc bag out for the AM and have everything in it for the girls (and my top and DH's, too). Normally I use ziploc bags but then unpack once we get to WDW. This time, it's all staying in bags. We'll see how well this works...
