I can make my ADRs and BBB reservation tomorrow! I'm so excited! I thought that I had the ADRs all worked out but now I'm second guessing myself...guess I'll be spending tonight working on finalizing the ADRs all over again. LOL I'm so indecisive.

Me too! Since we need tables for 8 I am really worried about getting what we want.

Mine are made and I am still second guessing my decision. But they are done and I am going to try to trust that it will all be OK. This is vacation for goodness sake not Brain Surgery.

I just really want this to be a trip my grandkids will really enjoy so I want it to be PERFECT!!!!! Lois

I really only have two *must get* ADRs -- Ohana for July 18 (6 people, as close to 5-6 p.m. as possible), and then our Fantasmic Dining Package for the one day we're planning to be at DHS (can't remember which day that is). For Ohana, that is the only night my parents will be with us and they really want to go there. The other places I want to do ADRs are fairly flexible, although I'm trying this year not to have us jumping around quite so much for meals. My girls really want to go to Coral Reef again but I'm hoping for a lunch ADR for that instead of dinner this year.

What got me second guessing myself is the news that Spoodles will (or should) still be open when we go, and I've read some great reviews for Spoodles lately. I'd like to try it before it closes. So now I'm not sure what to do. And I'm still trying to figure out if we should try to do a TS in AK, or just stick with CS. Also, really want Prime Time Cafe but don't really want two TS in DHS since we're only planning to be there for one day. But since my girls really want to see Fantasmic again and I don't want to stand in line for 2+ hours to see it, we're going to do the dinner package.

Decisions, decisions, decisions!

We're not on the DDP this year -- it just isn't as a good a value as it was last time we went (appetizers and tip no longer included), the cost per person went up, and it's way too much food for us. I might have done it if our younger DD was going to be nine when we go, but she'll be 10 and there is no way she eats $40 of food in one day (even at Disney food prices, LOL). I don't, either -- she and I easily share CS meals and still have leftovers! We looked at the places we really wanted to eat and what we would probably eat based on their menus and calcualted that we'll come out ahead if we just pay OOP and not use the DDP. So I'm not as stressed because I don't have so many ADRs to make, but it just means that the ones I am making are that much more important because they're the places we really, really want to eat.
The TS meals are more important to me than DH and he would be totally fine doing CS the entire time -- or even eating off-site. The girls only have a few places that they really want to go, so it didn't make sense to do DDP this trip.

We'll see how it all works out tomorrow. I'll be up and on the phone at 7 a.m.!

I have the same problem. DS is a picky eater, so having to pay for an adult at $40 a day doesn't make sense. Plus, they charge for him at the buffet, even when he doesn't eat a single thing! Our waitress in the Summer didn't charge us for Biergarten, but the one in January did. :sad2: We are going back for free DDP, but I am thinking about making the ADR's for non-buffets and see if I can just pay for his out-of-pocket and use ours on the DDP. Most places he won't eat anything, so we end up getting him CS.

Oh I am WAY more excited about the honeymoon!! In fact, people have been asking me lately, "Are you getting excited for the wedding?" and I tell them, "I'm excited for it to be over so we can go on vacation!!"

Hello to the July 09 group!

We're (well I) am so excited. Our travel group will be my husband & I, our DDs 11 and 7, my mom & dad, and my sister (called the "fun aunt"). We ate at Artist Pointe 2 yrs ago, and decided if when we could come back, that's where we wanted to stay.

I saw this thread, and thought it would be a good place to vent all my excitement. My husband thinks my mom & sister & I are a little over the top with the planning :-). But I told him we have to get our plan and dinner reservations worked out!

We're at 91 days and counting, so our travel agent should be calling in the dinner reservations tomorrow. Since it seems to be the thing to do, here's what we requested:

7/19 Sunday - Coral Reef
7/20 Dinner at O'Hana in the Polynesian
7/21 Tues dinner at Sci Fi Dinner Theatre
7/22 Wed Dinner at Boma, Animal Kingdom Lodge
7/23 Supercalifragilistic Breakfast 1900 Park Fare restaurant at Disney's Grand Floridian
(Has anyone done this? My mom stayed here about 10 years ago, thought it would be fun)
7/24 Fri dinner Artists Pointe

Hope we can get most of those! Last time the trip was planned only 2 months out, and we had a hard time getting reservations.

Hi jmskinner..

I had the same worry, booking ADRs for 7 adults & 1 child.. but it turned out not to be a problem!

The CM at wdw-dine informed me of any restaurants that don't have tables for 8 people but they will book you two tables of four & put them next to each other (as close as possible at least)... I had this for Le Cellier, Sanaa & Brown Derby

also.. if you are celebrating anything at all while on vacation, let them know when you book your ADRs :wizard:

Happy planning!
