OFFICIAL JULY 2009 THREAD!!! The wait is on!!!

Hi Everyone! Please add us to the list...We'll be at WDW from 7/19-25 for our Disneymoon...:yay:

It's our first time to WDW and I'm a little nervous...I'm sure this will be the last time we're at WDW by ourselves (the next time will probably be with kids) so I want everything to go well.

Can you experts take a look at what we have planned so far? I based my days off of TGM's July 2008 info...I'm hoping things stay the same.

Some background info:
At home, we're normally not early risers, but we'll make the effort when we're there. We have 6 full days planned for WDW (19th-24th). We'll be staying at SOG from the 17th so our first disney day is a full day...no worries about checking in and storing bags and all that fun stuff. We're transferring hotels (to CR) on Thursday, the 23rd and we leave Saturday morning. I'm hoping our bodies get adjusted to the 6 hour time difference fairly quickly :scared:
We're not big breakfast eaters (will probably just keep fruit or something in the room to eat before we head out), but we love food. We're staying away from Japanese/Chinese and anything at the Poly...we eat that type of food all the time at home so we want to try something different. We're not on the dining plan. I read someplace that it's not good to plan things around dinner, but I like to know when we'll be eating and that we'll get to eat at the places we're interested in.

Ok - here it goes:
Sunday - Animal Kingdom, DTD at night - dinner @ Raglan Road.
Monday - EPCOT all day (with a break in between) - dinner @ Chefs de France
Tuesday - HS all day (with a break) - Fantasmic dinner package @ Mama Melrose
Wednesday - MK all day (with a break) - breakfast @ Crystal Palace, dinner @ Plaza Restaurant
Thursday - change hotels in AM, mini golf in afternoon or DTD in afternoon, dinner @ Le Cellier, EPCOT for EMH.
Friday - MK, EPCOT or HS in the day, dinner @ Narcoosee's, watch Wishes from room, MK for EMH.

Thoughts? Thanks in advance for your sage advice :worship:

Hey! Welcome to our thread!! That week is quite a popular time on this thread already!! We will be there on our Disneymoon, too. Your plans look good to me! I love Crystal Palace breakfast! My only suggestion is for your "change hotels" day. Last time we changed from CBR to WL and took that day to rent a boat on Bay Lake/Seven Seas Lagoon. You could do the same from CR. It was a really fun way to spend some time in the afternoon. Maybe you can do that instead of mini-golf before or after DTD.

Happy planning!

I can't believe how long this list has become!!! I guess the extension of the buy 4, get 3 deal encouraged more people to go in July.

There's going to be so many Disers there!! I'll be wearing my lime green mickey heads on my orange cinch bag. I only had one other Diser say hi to me once in passing but I feel like a lot of us might run into each other this time!!

I'll have to make sure I get my LGMH too. :)

I feel like once we get under 100 days it's going to go by so fast!

/
anyone try to figure out which resort is going to have the most Disers in the month of July?

I hope I see someone, going to Home Depot tonight to get my LGMH, ( actually I need a washer and dryer) but will pick up LGMH as well.

Hope to see you, I will be at CR!:thumbsup2

My dates are actually 7/11 to 7/18. Thanks for keeping the list updated!! I hope to run into lots of fellow Disers :yay:

Dates are corrected. I have paste the corrected / updated list in post 39 page 3. Please let be know if I need to make any other changes.

One day closer and still counting!!!

It won't be too much longer and we can make our ressie. After that we will be wondering where all the time went and how we are going to get everything done.

Anyone making graphics to put up on the window and door?

Lois

Hello, Fellow July go-ers...
I can't wait to see other Disers in the parks. I will certainly say HI to everyone I see wearing LGMH's...Do the same for me!!! This will be a lot of fun!!!

Hi!

I don't know how I've missed this thread! We will be there July 4th-12 at AKV/SSR. We will be celebrating my 40th birthday AND our 17th wedding anniversary!

Thanks for putting this together!

hey if your still adding, add us to the list...we will be there June 28-July5 at BWV...me and Disneypirate85..thanks...can't wait to be home again:cheer2:

Wow this is a long thread!

We're going July 5-13, staying at Sheraton Vistana Resort. Just booked our flights, rental car, worked out stroller swap and ordered park tickets. I'm so excited!!!

For dining here is the plan, if I can get ADRs:
Crystal Palace lunch
Biergarten dinner
Whispering Canyon Cafe dinner
Ohana dinner

We already have reservations for Rainforest Cafe at Downtown Disney and Emeril's in Universal Citywalk. What does everyone think of the list? We'll have my 2 & 5 year olds with us (except for Emeril's). Any must-dos I'm missing?

Anyone making graphics to put up on the window and door?

Lois

Possibly. We'll for sure be making t-shirts. :thumbsup2

Lois

When I first started to read this I thought you might say, "before we know it our trips will be over." That is the part I hate. I love planning, love the trip, and then bam, reality sets in and we are home again.

Oh, and just in case anyone is wondering. I do live within driving distance, but staying at the resort is so much magical then just driving up for the day.

ok..what do you mean?? :confused3

I have seen folks make graphic up like the magnets used on DCL and put them in the windows of the room. I thought this might be fun for the kids.

You betcha. I will add you in right away. The list in in post 39 on page 3.

Possibly. We'll for sure be making t-shirts. :thumbsup2

That is a good idea. Who are you using or are you going to make iron on ones? The kids might enjoy desinging their own. Any ideas are welcomed. Lois
