OFFICIAL JULY 2009 THREAD!!! The wait is on!!!

Wow this is a long thread!

We're going July 5-13, staying at Sheraton Vistana Resort. Just booked our flights, rental car, worked out stroller swap and ordered park tickets. I'm so excited!!!

For dining here is the plan, if I can get ADRs:
Crystal Palace lunch
Biergarten dinner
Whispering Canyon Cafe dinner
Ohana dinner

We already have reservations for Rainforest Cafe at Downtown Disney and Emeril's in Universal Citywalk. What does everyone think of the list? We'll have my 2 & 5 year olds with us (except for Emeril's). Any must-dos I'm missing?

We'll just make our own iron-ons.

When we get back I will let you know. I know I will need one for Janet, Lois, Austin, & Beth but I will want a different wording on each to individualize them. I think I will have you do one for my 9 month old granddaughter who is not going so we can have her in spirit too. Thank you for your willingness to do these. One of these day I will get a program and maybe begin to be able to do my own. Which program do you prefer for working your magic on the computer? I can't figure out what would be the simplist one for me to use.

We leave tomorrow for the two day drive home. It is always nice to see family but I wish I could see them for just a few hours more often. But when you live 1300 miles from them that is not possible. So it is once every year or so for a week. I mayu have some time to visit later today but them will be missing again until 3/1/09.

At that point we will have 31 days before WDW should post the hours for our stay!!! Let the end stage planning begin! Lois

Well it is 5:45 AM and we are on our way back home (well we are leaving soon). For 1300 miles I will be in a sub compact car with Janet and two 60 pound dogs. Thank God they all travel well. I will check for newcomers when I get tome tomorrow or the next day.

I just added a day to our trip! So we will be arriving on July 1, instead of July 2. I'm having my DU agent looking for a room at the Pop for us. If it is booked up, I will try for the All Star Sports.

The flights were $31 cheaper going down on the 1st, and by staying on-site the first night I won't have to pay for transportation to the Dolphin, just for the return to MCO. So total cost of adding another night is only $20.

YAY!!!

I remember previously several people talking about how people always ask, "Why would you want to go in July!" We are heading over tonight to do Epcot for a few hours and only a few hours because all parks close at 5:00 for AK and BB and 8:00pm for all the others. Epcot does have EMH tonight untill 11:00, but think about it. In July the parks are normally all open untilMidnight or so, and then have EMH (I know AK doesn't and neither do the water parks). I love parks at night, so I would be very disappointed to go at this time and not have that much time in the evening to spend at the parks.
