Hey All!! I'm planning a SURPRISE trip for DH and DS4's birthday 7/15-19 :cool1: WOOHOO!! I cannot wait. We need a Disney break from real life so bad right now! And to surprise the family with the trip will be awesome!!

Has anyone been at this time of year before??? Can you PLEASE tell me about crowds?? I'm debating subscribing to TGM or something like that as we've never been during the middle of summer before. (we do live in the south so we're getting used to the heat and humidity!!)

I am for real going in July. It's been a long year of missed plans and I am happy to annouce that I booked and paid for 5 nights at the Regal Sun Resort. I have decided for the first time in my life to plan a trip that caters to MY wishes! and so it goes like this:

Arrive @ noon on July 21 (Tues). Meet up with my cousin who will fly in from WV, pick up car and get checked in by 2:00. Go to DTD for a fun girls night out!

Wed, Epcot all day from rope drop to closing. Maybe drink our way around the world (NO KIDS!)

Thur, DH and DD(3) arrive , day spent at the pool and maybe a little DTD shopping. Have to take her to the my little pony shop!

Fri, take DD to either MK or Epcot. It's a toss up b/c I have reservations for Akershus at 1:30 but MK might be more fun for her overall.

Sat, drop cousin off at airport, go to DH's best friends wedding!

Sun, catch afternoon flight home.

I am so excited!:woohoo:

Oh I hope that means I got mine in the mail today too!!

Depends whether you booked a package or room only. If room only you just get the magical express tags. If you book a package (dining or park tickets w/room) you get an envelope with some coupons, ME tags and some plastic luggage tags.

Still no MIckey mail.... I am hoping it had to go to AAA first, then they will mail it to me... I will email her to find out!

I'm there July 11-18 if anyone at the same time wants to try to meet up!

I'll be there at the same time. We're going the 12-19th. Ashtonsmom99 will also be there. We're at SSR, what about you?

I'm going to call DVC and ask them about the luggage tags since I HAD gotten them before when traveling DVC.

Anybody know if with the hot humid weather, is there alot of bugs? Like mosquitoes? I never noticed mosquitoes in the spring or fall, but then we did notice alot of frogs and lizards, that might take care of the problem. 29 days!!:cheer2:

......with Cirque tickets!! Is he not the best!! Any other DISer gonna be there on July 8th...9pm show?? Can't wait for JULY!!!:woohoo:

Ok... I called DVC Member services ..here's the deal. Those name/address luggage tags that have the castle or tinkerbell on them, they're not sending them out anymore. She said it has nothing to do with the trip being DVC or not having a MYW package. If someone got them, maybe they had some left while they were sending out your information. I do recall that they were in the same packet with the ME tickets and bright yellow tags. So big deal though.. MIL didn't really need them. She already had name tags on her luggage. I don't need them because we're driving. I'll probably pack a bunch of stuff in LLBean canvas boat totes. I'll have a cooler and groceries in grocery sacks. Its so exciting... getting closer...time is speeding up. Just 1 more week of school for the kids.

I got luggage tags in with my Mickey mail (vouchers, etc. not using DME) just this past week. These are new ones, not like last years. They have the castle on them but they say "What will you celebrate"

I got those last week! They seem sturdier than the old tags!:thumbsup2

We always put the tags on our carry ons....I have this weird idea that the tags are so nice someone at the airport will steal them!:confused3:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm even worse than that. This years tags will go right where last years went....in my memory box!! :rotfl: I don't even use them because I am afraid of losing them!!!

I keep my tags on the luggage. We have two on there now and will probably have a third on there for this trip.
We book our trip through AAA and our tags usually say both WDW and AAA. Hoping to get some when I pick up the paperwork.
I just leave our tags on the luggage since we drive. They aren't bothering us and it reminds of of our other trips.
When we fly in Sept, we will probably take them off.

Got my ME packet in the mail today!!! :cool1: Soooo exciting!! I do have a package so now I'm just waiting for my other packet to come!!

Hey there!

I had looked into this as my party this trip is 6 adults (+ 18 yr old & 4 yr old!) & we'll probably be having a drink with our evening meals or somewhere at the Boardwalk area..
www.wdwinfo.com has great menus which include drinks & prices :thumbsup2
i would guestimate that a bottle of beer is around $8, glass of wine $7-10, and cocktails $9 each??

Happy planning!

Thanks so much! I just did a search and am making some notes now.. The prices aren't really that bad....

I saw on another thread pictures of Disers favorite drinks.. There's one at the YAK AND YETI called the YAK ATTACK.. It looks out of this world!!!!!! I cannot wait to be parched in Animal Kingdom. :O)

omg .. the Yak Attack... i tried that one last October!! it's so pretty, i didn't want to drink it! :rotfl:

maybe don't have one then go on Expedition Everest! ;)

I didn't think prices are too bad either, not compared to the UK anyway!

I had to 'budget' in things like food & drink to my trip planning, as the last two years my group has been on all-inclusive vacations to the Caribbean.. so we didn't have to really think about taking $$$ for meals!
