My mom and I are taking my niece to WDW for her first time in 10 days! We're surprising her on Sunday and we've had the hardest time keeping it a secret. She loves animals, so we got a savanna room at the DAK Lodge. I can't wait to see her face when she sees it all!!!

Does anyone know where I can get the clear plastic pouches (usually to hold an ID) that I can put at the end of a lanyard?

They have them in almost all stores at WDW where they sell pins.

Sick kiddos -- oh dear! I hope everyone is fully recovered before your trip!
Car accident -- scary -- I'm so glad you guys weren't hurt!
DH's cortisone shot -- yea! I hope it works long enough that he doesn't have pain at WDW.
Wedding stress -- oh yeah, I remember that...I planned an out-of-state wedding in Utah and honeymoon in Hawaii while I was living in Alaska. Crazy. It will all be perfect and beautifu!

I did not enter my credit card info either when I checked in. It said that it was not necessary; I would rather give it to the CM when we check-in in person. I doubt that you would be charded again, but I don't believe that not giving it to them will harm you.

I just did online check in too - I am nervous about it - all we requested was connecting rooms - hopefully they have that in the reservation cause there was nowhere to request it.

Don't be jealous, I am a nervous wreck trying not to overpack and not forget anything!! Sometimes I think the anticipation is the best part of the trip!

Kids have a way of bouncing back fast so hopefully the meds will kick in and DS will be feeling a little better by vacation time.

Thank you Karla! He is feeling better already, throat still bothering him but that is to be expected. They put him on ten days of antibiotics and day ten is the day we leave so we should be in the clear. I called the doctor yesterday at the suggestion of others on this board and they wrote me a prescription for dd just in case she gets sick while we are gone. I should be covered now, I hope.

And on a sad note...I could really use lots of thoughts/prayers for my DH's brother. He was shot last night in the lower back by a shot gun. We don't have any details or know why really. From what his girlfriend says, it was a guy that was just shooting down the street. But he's heavily sedated right now. He's OK at the moment, but the dr's say it can go either way. So thoughts & prayers please!

From what his girlfriend says, it was a guy that was just shooting down the street. But he's heavily sedated right now. He's OK at the moment, but the dr's say it can go either way. So thoughts & prayers please!

I will still be here too!!! At least for another 6 days. We all have so much to do before we leave that the time will fly by! Just think, when those that have left or are leaving now are winding down to head back home...we are just getting started.

Oh Julie I am so sorry to hear about your BIL! I will send prayers and wishes your way that he will recover quickly. I know it will be hard for your husband to leave on vacation if he has not improved. Here's some pixie dust to help things along.

In 1 week almost to the hour, we will be boarding the train to Disney.
I've finished packing for my daughter. I have a few things for me and my husband to get and then I am done. I am so excited to get going and am praying I haven't forgotten something.
