*** Official Jollywood Nights 2024 ***

Wait times are always low at these events. Anything that says 30 mins, never is. I have been to them enough times to realize that at this point. Next time waiting in line, use your own stop watch and 9 times out of ten, it is significancy less wait then is posted.

Normally I'd agree but the posted 25 min on tsmm was all of that. I was surprised and disappointed.

I never went up the hill to see the actual slinky line since I wasn't going to wait that long for it, but it wouldn't surprise me. It didn't seem that crowded but I think it's because most people were in a line for something or watching a show.

Slinky was running at a limited capacity. Even though it said 50 minutes, it only took 32 minutes for us. Toy Story Mania was a walk on. Rise had a 15 min wait most of the night. Even the character lines were nothing compared to MVMCP.
How about Star Tours?

I am curious thoughts on the muppet christmas carol photo op? It seems part of it is people doing some dancing around for a video instead of photo. I was hoping just for a cool photo op. It seems it takes video and more about your motions and barely any notice of the muppet background itself. Would like to hear from anyone who did it.

Haven’t quite gotten thru this whole thread yet…

How does one book the brown derby to enjoy a cocktail/appetizer during the party hours? Don’t see it on website

Take the 2023 info with a grain of salt. The 1st night was as some say, a disater, but Disney improved as nights went on. I am hopeful 2024 will be a stellar event
It got such bad reviews, we skipped it last year. Looks like they’ve made many much needed tweaks.

Tempted but, it’s a rather full trip already for us. Hmmm
I am doing back to back parties as well
Between MVMCP, CP pkg, Sea World & U festivities, not to mention a cruise on the Utopia :)

It’s starting to look like we really won’t be doing much in way of daylight hours in any park unless I make some adjustments. Meanwhile, thinking of adding more here lol
Wardrobe question! What is everyone planning to wear? I know dressing up isn’t necessary, and there will be a good mix of dressy & casual, but I’m in the fence.
For me, part of the allure of this is the retro/dressy outfits I’ve seen worn. Spices it up for many of us who are fortunate enough to visit often.
It looks like there are only 5 rides open during the party. That’s disappointing.
As above, Xmas trip for us is usually just he & me, slow paced for the special stuff offered.

Was talking to somebody, who has APs & visits for all the race weekends, along with their family trips. They said they booked it this again (over a long weekend), solely for walk on ability on the rides. Said it was amazing last year.

They have zero interest in the shows, for us, that’s paramount. Something for everyone I guess.

Yes there are two video only options . Snow-Glo or Warm & Fozzie. With Snow-Glo, the camera moves in and then pulls back, producing a slow-motion video. The Warm & Fozzie video is at regular speed, with the camera moving all around, spinning, and then panning up — plus a cameo from Fozzie. Both videos feature festive music and end with a snowy Disney Jollywood Nights graphic.

Went to opening night of Jollywood in 2023, and it was a complete dumpster fire.

Went to the opening night of Jollywood in 2024, and it was better but it wasn't a high bar to cross.

They really had to cut back on the number of tickets sold because the crowd flow was completely different from what I experienced in 2023 vs 2024.

In 2023, the line for the Gertie cookie was routinely 30+ minutes long, in 2024, you could get one anytime you wanted.

Fairfax Fare had a queue that stretched down Sunset Blvd, this year there wasn't enough people in line to fill the switchbacks in front of the location.

Just getting into the Twilight Tower Courtyard took 20+ minutes last year, and if you wanted a drink add another 30 to it. This year you could stroll right in and the bar line was never more than 10 minutes.

Character lines were reasonable, last year Phineas and Ferb had a 2-3 hour wait, this year it topped out at around 45.

Not a fan of how they handled parking for this event. We got into the lot at 7PM, which is after park closing, and they were forcing everyone to park in the last few rows of the lot. For the cost of this event, honestly preferred parking should be included, or let people park closer to the gate in the regular lot. The front half of the regular lot was pretty empty, but they were making everyone park at the rear.

Interesting, none of the rest of the nights are sold out yet. I like the videos, they help me get a feel for what I want to see and what I would be OK skipping. I do want to get some rides in as well.

I ended up deciding to buy a ticket for this coming Saturday, even though I'll be solo. I watched a lot of stories on insta from both major influencers and smaller creators and everyone seemingly had a great time. I decided it was worth it to try something different including the skating show and jingle bam - and hopefully some lower ride wait times! That said, I did still get LLMP so I can do Slinky, tower, and tsmm all before the party starts. If I end up getting on a second time - even better!

Curious, do you have an AP? Or just a party ticket. Trying to sort out whether LLSP/MP will be available with party tickets only (no AP)
