Do we think the castle will get covered with scrims this year? I know the 50th anniversary will be continuing through March 2023 if I'm not mistaken, so I'm hoping they don't do anything to the castle this winter as they sometimes do. My son's GF has never been so it's essential the castle not be scrimmed/covered!

If you go late January/early Feb, there won't be any Christmas decor. I've gone twice in January, most recently this year.

HI! Please add me to list for January 2023! We called and booked yesterday. We were planning to book online, but got tired of waiting. We'll be there the 22nd-27th and will be staying at the Contemporary It will be our first stay at this resort, and we can't wait!

Oh sorry, yes I know the Christmas decorations will be gone. I'm talking about when they do construction on the castle and cover it as in this picture (I know that is Disneyland not WDW but just as an example)

Oh, I don't think they'd be taking it down since it runs through March.

Add us to the list!! My wonderful children rented DVC points so we are staying at Copper Creek villas!! So excited. I have never stayed above a moderate so a two bedroom villa is definitely an upgrade. It will be me, DH, DS 15, DDand SIL, DGD 1 ,and DS and his GF

lol so excited I forgot to put dates. January 14-21. Never been in January before. We have done the week after Christmas and 3rd/4th week of February, but never January.

The DVC rental company hasn't given me a confirmed reservation for BCV yet, so to be on the safe side, I made a back up room only for POFQ juuuuust in case. Hopefully the BCV comes through.

Hello! Joining in here! DH and I both got in for the Marathon (first-timers, though we are regular runners) and it will likely not be a lot of park time for us :-(. This is only our 2nd trip to WDW (I've been to DLR quite a few times and we've been to Tokyo Disney a few times). Last time we stayed at POP and this time we're trying POFQ, so I'm excited about that (even though POP was good). I am getting really nervous about tickets and reservations, though, as we have such a limited time and we aren't sure how worn out we'll be from the marathon.

We have stayed value, moderate, deluxe and POFQ is my favorite resort. It is so pretty, peaceful and we LOVE how small it is. I want to try a skyliner resort this time BUT I'm constantly tempted to go back to POFQ!

I'm REALLY hoping next January is not so rainy. Both times I've gone 2019 and 2022, it has rained A LOT. I was freezing my butt off.

2023 packages will open in three weeks on Wednesday, June 8th!

At that time, Disney Genie+ will no longer be available as a pre-arrival add-on. If anyone has a vacation starting in December 2022 and continuing into January 2023, you may want to consider adding Genie+ to your package before June 8th (I have no idea if that will be advantageous or not, but I assume you can always remove it prior to package modification deadlines). After June 7th, vacations in 2022 that did not previously add Genie+, and vacations starting in 2023, will need to add Genie+ on the day of your visit, one day at a time.
