Yay for New Year's Eve! You've been added!Hi! Splitting time between here and December with our trip 12/28 - 1/4
It will be our third trip over the new year holiday, and our second NYE at the Polynesian.
Hoping for great weather and a great time!
SO MANY THINGS!! You've been added to the list!I'm going to celebrate my 21st birthday in Disney World. I'm going from December 31st 2022 through January 10 2023. I will be doing a split stay between Contemporary (31-3), Yacht Club (3-6), and hopefully POFQ (6-10). I have booked everything except POFQ. It will be my first week-long stay, my first time going in January, my first time in Yacht Club and POFQ, and I will be running my first 10k during marathon weekend. And obviously my first time drinking around the world.
hmm do you have any speculation as to why they are making this change??2023 packages will open in three weeks on Wednesday, June 8th!
At that time, Disney Genie+ will no longer be available as a pre-arrival add-on. If anyone has a vacation starting in December 2022 and continuing into January 2023, you may want to consider adding Genie+ to your package before June 8th (I have no idea if that will be advantageous or not, but I assume you can always remove it prior to package modification deadlines). After June 7th, vacations in 2022 that did not previously add Genie+, and vacations starting in 2023, will need to add Genie+ on the day of your visit, one day at a time.

Thank you!!!!SO MANY THINGS!! You've been added to the list!![]()
Possibly so they can raise prices on the fly, like for holidays or busy weekends. Maybe for IT reasons or to add daily availability limits. Either way, it will probably take time for them to implement changes, so we may not know for awhile.hmm do you have any speculation as to why they are making this change??
Haha, I love your determination. Crowds and weather won't stop you! Added!Jan 17-24 BCVAdd us please! We are excited to head back even though this past Jan was our busiest and coldest yet.
I'm curious what y'all consider "cold" for Florida? the common theme seems to be that everyone says Florida is cold in January...but I've been looking at average weather for Orlando in January and everything I read says mid 70s is average! sometimes here in Ontario it doesn't even get that hot in the spring!Jan 17-24 BCVAdd us please! I am from the deep freeze parts of Wisconsin so we know cold. This last trip we came prepared with layers, a midweight coat, thin mittens and hats. There were mornings in the 30's and days no higher than 40. The damp cold, rain and wind was MUCH more cold than we had anticipated. The lack of sun was not fun either. Definitely not as cold as we experience back home, but a different damp cold that we weren't expecting or hoping for on vacation. We wore pants, t shirts, long sleeve, and a coat and were still chilly most days. Part of the reason we go in January is to escape some of the grey cold winter here, so it was a bit of a bummer to have 9 of our 10 days be pretty grey, rainy and cold. Did we still have fun? Of course! But this was our coldest January trip from the past few years. On the other hand, we were one of the crazy families that swam at least half the days of our trip.I'm curious what y'all consider "cold" for Florida? the common theme seems to be that everyone says Florida is cold in January...but I've been looking at average weather for Orlando in January and everything I read says mid 70s is average! sometimes here in Ontario it doesn't even get that hot in the spring!![]()
Oof, not super thrilled with being the guinea pig by going in early January for buying G+ day of. I am truly hoping it doesn't require me to stay up at midnight to buy G+ then log in again at 7am to make ILL purchases and G+ first selections.
I know for sure that if I have to wake at midnight and 7am, we will not be purchasing G+! We did pre-purchase it for our Dec ‘21 trip and got great use of it, but I need my sleep!Oof, not super thrilled with being the guinea pig by going in early January for buying G+ day of. I would just get up at 6:50am and buy G+ then wait for 7am to get my selections.I know for sure that if I have to wake at midnight and 7am, we will not be purchasing G+! We did pre-purchase it for our Dec ‘21 trip and got great use of it, but I need my sleep!
I would totally do that if I had any idea how much they were planning to scale back the number of G+ admissions. If the idea is that they are looking to prioritize the resort guests over the in person guests, then that strategy will totally work and that is what I will do. I am arriving the 8th so hopefully the first week will give me enough infomation to know how quickly this will sell out.I would just get up at 6:50am and buy G+ then wait for 7am to get my selections.
Spill the details! We will be at BCV then tooMy Beach Club DVC rental just came through! So happy! Now I can add the EEH to my plans!
