I have a question to anyone that has been to WDW in January, we will be there the end of January (3 months from today) and was curious how the crowds are. According to easywdw.com, they are projecting the crowds to be 1s, 2s, 3s, and maybe a 4 mixed in for that week. I was wondering if the parks truly feels like those low of crowds. What was everyone's experience with that timeframe? Thank you in advance to all that replies.
Any time I have been there in January there really aren't much for crowds. Very easy going. It's been a few years though.
I agree with the above poster as well. Just remember that the parks have close earlier than other times of the year. Most night AK closes at 5, Studios about 7 or 8, Epcot 9 and MK between 8 and MN depending on the date so getting up and going is important for park time. Also remember Blizzard Beach will be closed and Splash Mtn and Kali River Rapids will be as well.
You make me feel like I have a little more work to do before my trip! I have the room booked and ADR's done (although I would like to tweak a few of them still). Have you done Kids Nite Out before and if so can you give first hand knowledge of it? Also, what did you do for the reveal video as that sounds like a great idea.
Now less than 3 months to go!!!!!!!!
Brief recap:
POR room booked
5-day tickets bought
BBB booked for my 6-yr-old princess
2 character breakfasts booked
Grown-up date night planned, with carriage ride and dinner. Still waiting to hear back from Kids Nite Out...
Christmas morning reveal video created - ready to be burned to DVD
JAN 1-6!!! Orlando here we come!!!!!!!![]()
It seems nearly official now! I'm flying down there on January 12th and staying for about a week, splitting my time between a to be determined WDW hotel and my friends' apartment. I'll be nailing down more specifics about my trip in the next week or so!
My birthday is on January 13th, and it'll be my first time spending it at Walt Disney World!
It'll be my third time back home at WDW since finishing my College Program in January 2014. I spent 7 incredible months working at the Most Magical Place on Earth and I miss it every day!
During my time working at WDW I called both Epcot and Animal Kingdom Lodge home, and I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have
Have fun on your Birthday!! I will be at WDW for my 50th birthday in January. I would love to know what kinds of things I might like to try to do at AKL and Kidani as we are staying there Jan 3-9. It will be my 79 yo mother, me who will turn 50 on the 4th and my 20 yo God daughter. Morgan is a sophomore with a double major in dance and business-accounting,. We also love epcot. Mom will be traveling with a wheelchair (makes her feel more secure and life is easier for us. She rides most rides with us except Rockin Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror and does well if given time to transfer and get into and out of ride vehicles. She however is not very patient anymore and this is a person who had the patience of Job.
Hope you have a great trip.
