Not sure if it's been mentioned in your January thread or not. But I just thought I'd give people a heads up that starting January 19th, the castle is going to be covered in a tarp. It will be under until March 3rd.

F*$! FOR REAL?!?!!!! This is my brothers first trip! Crap and I already paid for everything! Well, I bet he never returns. Maybe I'll order an extra couple bottles of rum to thoroughly blur our vision before we enter that park. Hmmmm.... I suppose its on-par with our WDW luck. Every stinkin time we would go: crane over the castle. Definitely in the list of reasons we gave up going there....

If your brother is of legal drinking age, I'm sure whether or not he sees a castle won't effect his trip much. I mean, how long does one REALLY spend looking at it anyway, right? So hopefully he won't be bothered too much. I heard the tarp may look like the castle, if that helps at all.

We always get it. I think it's a good value, especially compared to WDW or Aulani. It just takes a little effort to remember to seek out photographers. We enjoy the ride photos, so for those alone it's worth it.

We've already ordered ours. I've got a DLSR camera, but I'd like to be included in some pictures too! It's a heck of a deal too, especially since we're planning on 4 days in the parks.

This will be the first year we're getting it. 5 days in the parks and a group of nine - we figured the $70 is like a fraction of a percent of the total of the trip, so why not give it a try.

You can also give your camera to photopass people and ask them to take your photo. We do that because we don't want to pay for their photos.

I know....but I also don't know if I want to lug my DSLR around for 4 days! That thing gets bulky and it never fails I bonk my kid in the head with the lens.

I am excited about not having to carry a camera around and looking at Trip report pictures I think they can add in some cute things so I think it's worth it

Considering an 8x10 is around $20 each, if you get 4 photos, you have already paid for it! Split the cost with the other famines and you are golden!

He's 42 so we're covered twice over on drinking age. WOW! Never thought of that! Half his life he's been legal! Another of life's milestones! Or speed bump on the downhill slope. ROFLOL!!!!

He's kinda diehard WDW and we're kinda not so its an ongoing joke/rivalry sorta like rival sports teams. In my defense, if WDW found out I was coming they'd whip a crane out on the castle the day I arrive. Never seen 'em cover the crane in a scrim so I still win, right?!?! Gotta love sibling rivalry. Heehee! We're a trio of characters (hubs, bro, & me) when we're running sans our offspring. We'll have a blast no matter what. I don't gripe about refurbs usually but dang. Really? The castle? Ouch. I think the Pirates superiority might be my checkmate. We'll see!

I decided against the F! Dessert Party. Too many negative reviews. We will just do a FP run and hope for the best. Over $200 saved for snacks and souvenirs!

WOOHOO excited to hear about the sunshine and warmth! We've been checking the weather every few days to see how nice and warm it'll be. It's been consistently in the 60's where I am which is okay, but those 15 extra degrees will be nice.

Only a few more sleeps and we're driving! ... and I have so much to do, from laundry to printing things out to actually packing x.x

Awesome to hear! We are 6 more sleeps away from California! We are hitting up Universal on the 15th, then heading to the DLH on the 19th. So much fun to be had!!!!
