18 days!!! Whoo Hooo!! I feel VERY unprepared for this trip. DW in 2012, was SOOO much planning, I had a binder with schedules and maps and a full schedule to go by every day when we were there. This trip to DL....total opposite! NO planning!! I feel so unprepared......eeeeekkkk!!!!!!!

So, just to confirm. We are there Jan 19-22. (Park days being 20-22) We will NOT see WOC or fireworks when there, correct? What one earth will we do to make it "magical" without these main elements? HELP!!!!

Fantasmic will be showing each night you are there. It's sad to miss fireworks. Although I have to admit I am not a huge WoC fan. But Fantasmic is awesome!

well, we decided yesterday that we are going to leave monday, drive to a friend's house in Arizona, stay there for a few days, then hit up the park for a few days before coming home. I'm excited! So far the plan is to do the parks January 4th and 5th.

Work has been crazy busy, I just got a new boss, and I have been sick since Thanksgiving. I am unprepared for the trip but definitely looking forward to letting everything go and immersing myself in Disney!

Please update

We have two stays coming up within the next six months. First one is January 30th through February 1st. Traveling this trip is me (56), DH (54), DS (35), DDIL (34), DGD (6 mos) also going with is DIL's parents. This trip we are staying at the BWPP right outside front gate and within walking distance of restaurants outside of the parks.

We have made one dining reservation for a Character Breakfast at the Plaza Inn for the 31st. No transportation issues for us, we live about 2 hours north and will be driving. We'll be able to just park the car and leave it.

Our second trip will be in May, just DH & I. We will be staying at the Grand Californian using our Disney Vacation Points. Our first stay there and I'm so looking forward to it.

trying to find a hotel though and I'm having some trouble. The disney site won't let me list our passes and find out the prices for AP deals on the hotels. And it seems like a lot of other local hotels are booked up for those nights.

Is there something going on that I dont know about? I thought the weekend after the 3 day would be a better choice but now I'm wondering if maybe we should just try for a different weekend.

The NAMM convention is during that time period and it causes many of the hotels to book up.

Just booked my first trip as a pass holder. Third this yr. coming January 27-29th staying at paradise pier with my two yr old and my mom. Flights, hotel and car booked!

we'll be disney-ing it up 2 weeks from right now!

we've had a bit of a hiccup in our hotel situation the travel company my 2 night voucher is through is having difficulty getting us a room for the first two nights so we've made backup reservations at the motel 6 we always stay at. they said they'll try again after the new year to see if there's any availability but if not then we'll be paying oop for two nights. which is a super bummer but i'll get over it.

i was checking our reservations and COMPLETELY FORGOT that every time i tried to book a fantasmic meal there was an error. so we called last night and were able to get a dinner res for blue bayou on the 13th. i've never seen the show so hopefully it's worth it!

Nothing like procrastinating until almost the last minute . We leave for Edmonton on Wed to spend the night before leaving for The Happiest Place on Earth on Thursday . I made all my dining reservations this afternoon and got every single restaurant and time that I wanted . Totally amazed since its over New Year's but I am over the moon.

I'm going to Disneyland!!!! I just booked HOJO for Jan 30-Feb 2. My MIL, me and my 2 kids (DD 8 and DS 4) will be going and leaving DH at home (he doesn't have as much vacation time as I do). He's super excited to get a weekend at home by himself though. We all went in May, November and will go again in April and MIL and I talked and decided to sneak in a January trip too to get the most of our Annual Passes! I see a lot of rides will be down, but I'm considering this a bonus trip so I'm still super excited!

I haven't been since they installed the new Fantasmic fastpass system. I was looking at Fantasmic packages and it looks like more than I want to spend. What's the deal with getting normal fastpasses? Do you have to go first thing or do they run out fairly quickly? I guess I should do some research on the boards to hear what people are saying.

This is my feeling too. We are going one weekend in January but still figuring it all out. Husband will be stuck at home too but with APs we are considering all trips until next December bonus trips!

Husband has an AP too and may go back with us in March but right now we just know he will go in December. Maybe October I might be able to sneak him into a trip. I want to do the halloween party.

I just booked a last minute trip for this weekend ! Jan 4-5 in the parks! Sooo excited!! It'll still be decorated for Christmas too! Just me and dd(11) and dd(14) since dh has to work, but we're so excited! Trying the Tropicana this time too, can't beat the location!! Woohoo! Bring on the magic!
