*** OFFICIAL January 2013 Thread ***

Please add me to the list! We're going to be at Art of Animation in a Lion King suite from Jan. 11-19. My birthday is Jan. 13 and I'm running my first half-marathon on the 12th! I'm OVER. THE. MOON excited!!!! :woohoo:

I've never been to this but was hoping to go this trip. I hope they still have it!

Well, I am sad to say that January 2013 does not have EMHs for Hollywood Studios on Monday nights. So who knows what will happen to the Playhouse Disney Dance Party.

Sounds fabulous!!

Best of luck with the half. There's an official marathon thread with really good info. I'm doing the half too. Not my first, but it will be my first Disney race.

I am obsessing about this trip. :crazy2: Now that EMH hours are out I'm rethinking some of my reservations and plans for which park we do on certain days. :confused3

We are planning to be in WDW Jan 26-Feb 1. I am so super excited!! :cool1: We are coming up on ADRs next week so I too have been thinking about our schedule for which park for which day. Do people tend to schedule to be at the parks that have EMH or not? I have heard some people say that those are the parks to avoid due to high crowds and others say to take advantage of EMH. What do you think? Thanks for all your help!!

I've heard that too but I've also heard that you should get the park hopper option, go to the park with morning EMH and then go to a different park in the afternoon. That's what I was thinking about doing but I may just stick to my original plan. I don't know if I'll be able to get everyone in my group up an hour earlier. They are already complaining about getting to the parks by 9. :sad2:

LOL about getting up early! Fortunately we have early risers in my crew (so far anyways LOL). So do you stay for EMH at night? Do you recommend going to MK on Sundays or MOndays? I have heard both are busy, but we would like to go there sooner than later in our trip.

We will use them, but we don't plan much around them. For example, I wouldn't make a before park ADR for CP on an early EMH day. But if we're at MK until close and HS has evening EMH then we'll maybe head over there. Another reason we love park hoppers. Never go to DW without them.

Today is our 180 mark and I wanted to go online this morning to book our ADR's but the system wasn't letting me so I called and got all my choices!! yay!! That definitely makes our trip feel more real. Can't wait to take DD to eat in the castle :goodvibes and get her first haircut on Main Street :goodvibes

Looks like I'm the only one that doesn't make many ADRs! Even when we usually go in June, I make only a few. This trip in January we hope to meet with cast members we met through ABD and we won't know their availability until close to the trip time. As my husband and I usually joke, "we don't know what we want for dinner tomorrow, how the heck would we know five months from now?!". Lol

This is the first time we made only two ADR's (Tusker House and 1900PF). I think it's going to feel so freeing....

This last June's trip was odd for us. Normally, we only make an ADR for one character breakfast and then one for Biergarten (and that is just so we can get in right when they open.) This last June, we had the DlxDDP and I made 2 ADRs were day.

Speaking of ADRs...I can make mine on Tuesday morning :) I need to make an 8-person ressie for CRT breakfast - four of which will be people paying OOP. Do I go thru the ressie process like normal and just pay for four of the meals? (Our four are using DDP TS credits but my parents & in-laws are not on the DDP)

I don't make them either unless we want to go to CRT or Akershus. I'd rather not be tied down to a specific place/time that way.

Just made our 1 and only ADR at Tusker House for breakfast for ds 4th birthday! Excited but nervous about getting there at 8am:scratchin

Now that more free dining dates have opened up in December of 2012, I am wondering when (if any) dates will open up for January 2013? I am soooo hoping that there will be free dining in January! Fingers crossed :)

Are any of the new FL TS supposed to be open in January? I'm wondering if/when you can start making ADR's?

Oooh, just found this in Allears.net

UPDATE: July 24, 2012

Walt Disney Imagineering has released additional photos from the new Be Our Guest Restaurant, showing how the Enchanted Rose from "Beauty and The Beast" will play a central part in the theming. The rose is represented in both beautiful mosaics and light fixtures, as well as in some of the restaurant's more subtle details, with roses etched in wooden accents and sculpted into stone columns and trim. Reservations for the restaurant will open in late August.
