I see there are quite a few January threads going - one under Resorts, one under Codes & Rates and one under Countdown/Live Reports.

I changed over from room only to the package with basic dining. I really would have like to get the AAA discount on the room only but CM said no discounts available on standard rooms at YC.

Oh well - just keep hoping for a code

We arrive before January 1st and leave Saturday the 3rd on the Magic for a week. When the Magic returns the next Saturday we will probably stay one night before returning home.

Yes, I am officially nuts Changed back to a room only because the AAA discount was available through Disney for a water view at YC - the cost is just a smidge higher than rack rate for a standard view.

So, we cancelled the dining plan and will just eat lighter fare a couple of nights to justify the cost. Whatever works, right

we've pretty well decided that we'll be going down January 14 - 19. The kids have 3 days of school off (well, DS has just 2) over the MLK weekend. I'm hoping that it isn't CRAZY crowded.

We're looking at staying at the Poly -- we stayed there for a week in 2003 with a 4+3 vaca deal...wouldn't THAT be a nice code? Got an itch to go back!

Just booked January 7-16 through Dreams Unlimited and got air this week too. I am so looking forward to this trip. My DH wanted me to have someting positive to look forward to since recently being diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. When he said book it I jumped right in!!!!!

Thanks Tinkbyday! I hope you have a great trip...we will just miss each other. We used to go around MLK but it did seem to get busier. Not horrible just more people than my DH likes so we are trying earlier in Jan. this trip.

We'll be staying at "Home" (SSR) Jan 16th-23rd. We're surprising the kids with the trip for Christmas...we're even bringing one aunt and two grandparents with us!! So excited we can't wait!!

For those of us staying at YC/BC or BCV... a DISer just posted on the Resorts Board FAQ thread yesterday that a DVC Member Services CM told her Stormalong Bay is scheduled to be closed for refurb January through March.

I haven't seen confirmation elsewhere and haven't called myself to double check yet (I'm wondering if the regular Disney CMs may not have the information yet, DVC MS seems to be a little ahead of the game sometimes, I rented points, I'm not a DVC member so I can't call MS), but I'm bummed, that's why we booked there. I know January most likely won't be warm enough to swim daily, but DD usually manages to get in a few days at least.

Just changed my dates from March to Jan 17-24
We'll be staying off site at WH and can't wait. Decided to change dates mainly to reduce number of days lids will be missing school and less of a wait

TODAY is exactly four months to go! Four months from now I'll be at MK chomping a turkey leg!! I'll be at POP from January 3-10, 2009 with my Grand Gathering of 7 other friends.
