Official 'how to get from point A to point B while at WDW' thread.

Yes, looking for the quickest route...2nd question..

Eating dinner at WL from AK Lodge..Then going to Ft.Wilderness on a Holiday Sleigh Ride to tour the Holiday Decorations.:santa:

We would take the bus from AKL to Magic Kingdom, then take a boat to Wilderness Lodge. After dinner, then take a boat to Ft. Wilderness, correct?

THANKS!!:thumbsup2:cool1:

You could take the boat, or the bus. Both go to same area at FtW: the Settlement.

The boat would probably be a nice prelude to the sleigh ride, unless a cold wind is whipping up the lake.

Thanks for the alternative if the weather is chilly! Hoping to take boat!:thumbsup2

I've read that it's more beneficial to take WDW Bus Transportation to DTD due to the construction/parking fiasco; however I've had less than stellar experiences with the busses on that route and would rather avoid doing so, if possible.
Has anyone been recently that can comment on the bus/taxi traffic situation?
We have tickets for the 6PM La Nouba show & will be coming from the GF. We have a 9PM ADR at Narcoossee's afterward.
We're thinking of hailing a taxi (or Uber), and are wondering how much time to allow each way. Will they be able to let us off in the vicinity of Cirque, or will we have a hike?
Thank you.

How long does it take to get from CSR to HDDR? I understand the best way to get there is to take the bus to MK and then the boat to FW. Is that right?

Wondering the best way to get to an ADR at Fulton's from Epcot...bus? Also how long would we expect it to take?

One more question... if we are having breakfast at a monorail resort...what would be the best way to get to Hollywood studios and approximately how long would it take? Thanks in advance!!

Yep bus to M, then boat to FtW....walk up the path and HDDR is right there. I would plan on 90 mins....you won't need all of it most likely but better safe than sorry.

Depends where you are in Epcot...if in FutureWorld, I would take a bus to SSR and then boat over to DtD. If you're in WS, I would walk out the back door, International Gateway, and go to BC and take the bus to DTD from there. Figure on 90 mins either way...just in case. As I said above, better safe than sorry.

This is great info...thank you ever so much!!

Where is the TTC? I've always stayed on site but this year we're staying off site. Can you park there?

We have a 9 am reservation for the Exotic Driving Experience in late October. Since we are to arrive by 8:30, my plan was to take the resort monorail to the TTC to catch the shuttle bus. However, according to the new schedule, the resort monorail will not start running until 8:30. Are there any other options besides walking (or, I guess, taking a cab?).

Thanks!

I am sorry if this has already been answered....

Okay so we are going to stay at All Star Movies resort, and we want to eat breakfast at Ohana's then go to Epcot right afterwards. What would be the best way to get to Ohana's and then over to epcot. We do not have a car and we are only going to use Disney world Transportation.

Thanks! :)

Buses are replacing the monorail, starting at 7 a.m. If you are staying at a monorail resort, there will be a direct bus to the TTC (direct, but not necessarily non-stop.)

If you are staying elsewhere on property, take the bus to the MK just as you would have normally, but you will be taking a bus to TTC instead of the monorail. There will probably be a transportation CM in the bus area wearing an orange safety vest who will be able to assist you; if not, just ask any bus driver at MK.

I see your visit is 8 months out. Hopefully, the monorail schedule will be back to normal by then.

Assuming it is, take the bus to MK, and transfer to the Resort Monorail to Poly. If your breakfast time is later than MK opening, you also have the option of a boat from MK to Poly.

From Poly, you can either walk or take the Resort Monorail back to TTC. TTC is the last stop on the monorail loop before Poly, so you would be riding all the way around the loop; walking is usually faster. At TTC, take another monorail to Epcot.

If the monorails are still running on a reduced schedule, alternate transportation will be available. But you really need to ask this question again a month or so before your trip, as no one really knows what the monorail and boat operating schedule will be like that far out. There's even been some speculation that the monorails' operating direction will be reversed, making TTC the next stop after Poly instead of the last before it.

The TTC is adjacent to the main MK parking lot. The MK parking lot trams drop you at the TTC for monorail, ferryboat, or bus transportation to the MK. There are also monorails to Epcot and the MK monorail resorts (buses while the monorails are down for maintenance.)

There is no transportation to DHS, AK, DTD, or the waterparks from the TTC (except for early morning service to DHS & AK.) You need to travel to a monorail resort to transfer to DTD or a waterpark, and to either MK or a monorail resort to transfer to DHS or AK.

Thank you so much. I am thinking about moving it to a Magic Kingdom Day but I have no clue!

Ok I'm a bit confused. I'm staying at WL and have 8am ressies for Kona cafe. This is before the monorail begins running of course. So what is my best option for getting there? Take the boat to MK and hop the "alternative transportation" to the Poly, or take the boat to the Contemporary and take the monorail stand-in here? And how long should I allow to get there?

Boat to MK probably won't be running that early. There should be a bus to MK, but I don't know how frequently at that hour.

I think the safest & simplest would be boat to CR, and then bus to Poly. The bus at CR may show just TTC on the marquee; check with the driver to make sure it is going to Poly after TTC. I would be at the dock 1 hour before you want to check in at Poly.
