Is there a app for your phone that will tell us how to get from one place to another in wdw?

I am helping friends plan their WDW trip this week. It looks like they will be going to Hoop De Doo straight from MK which is nice and easy. They are staying at the Dolphin so what would be the best way for them to get from Ft Wilderness to the Dolphin/Boardwalk area after the show is over? Do they take the internal bu to the front then a resort bus from there? Is there a faster way? I've only been to Ft. Wilderness from Wilderness Lodge so I don't know how it usually works.

While I'm not familiar with the Ft Wilderness area, I would think if they can get the boat from WL back to MK they have a direct bus back to any resort. But I don't know how far it is to the boat dock from Hoop De Doo.

Agee. The best way would be to take the boat back to the dock at the MK (20 min and relaxing) & ten hop on the bus

Bus from CSR to MK, then boat from MK to FW. Walk from FW boat dock 5 minutes to HDDR location (Settlement Hall).

For the return trip, you can reverse these steps. However, if MK transportation has ceased for the evening by the time HDDR ends, there will be buses at Settlement Hall to take you back to the resorts (possibly multiple resorts per bus).

For the 6:00 show, you need to be at the theater at 5:30.

You can take a bus to Pop Century and then another bus to DTD. Allow 90 to 105 minutes.

You could also take a cab. Allow 30 to 45 minutes.

Say we're driving to a park from our resort, and we have our Magicbands on. Can we use those at the parking lot gates to access the free parking? Or is the little piece of paper showing our resort stay in the windshield still advised for this?

There is a bus running directly from AK to DTD...it starts around 3pm..not sure what time it ends. I knew I should have taken a photo of that signage a week or so ago!!
But, I'm not 100% sure how long that trial is going to run. There was a sign board stating this as you walked to the bus stops from AK..so it should be obvious as to whether or not it is still up and running when you're there.

I would keep the parking pass on the dashboard in any event. Much easier than having to stop and tap a band. I'm not sure if the magic bands can be used for parking lot entry yet.

You're right. It is faster just to have them waive you through without stopping.

I posted this question in a thread of its own and the answer I got from someone there recently is that they still require the pass, since they don't have RFID readers yet. But it seems like I read somewhere they are getting them soon. I hope they just use that as a backup in case people forget their parking pass. I guess I'll see for myself in a couple weeks.

Actually, there has been a change to the schedule. Buses will now run until 3 hours after AK closing, which would be 8 p.m. most nights. They had been running until 1 a.m.

The drop-off point at DTD is right by La Nouba.

The test is scheduled to continue thru the end of October.

Interesting. I thought it was pretty late at night when the buses stopped running. Wondered how long that would last. It will be interesting to see what happens in November.

Depends where you are in the park..if you're in WS, then the boat is faster. If you're in the front of the park, take the bus.
The boat takes about 25 mins from Epcot to DHS. You can walk it in less than that. And there can be a wait for the boat for up to 20 mins depending on time of day. Same with the bus, but the ride is much faster than the boat!!!

I usually just walk it.

You don't have to back to your resort, but you do have to go to a resort - you can walk or take a boat to one of the Epcot resorts.
