From POR, bus to AK, then transfer to the AKL bus. Check it out, it's amazing. Then, bus back to AK, transfer to the BW bus (or, take the DHS bus from AKL and boat or walk to BW from DHS). From BW to get back to POR...walk or boat back to DHS if it's still open. If not, take a cab.We have a non park day on 8/23 (single digit dance today!), we plan on snooping at AKL (next trip?) then heading over to Boardwalk. We're staying at POR, what would be our travel options for this round trip? Thanks!
Walk over to the CR. As you approach the CR, you will walk right past the bus stops on the way to the main entrance! Very easy to see.Planning on leaving MK and heading to 7:15 dinner reservation at Rainforest Cafe in DTD. I'm assuming the best route is to walk to CR and then catch the bus to DTD. Where at CR do I catch the bus? I've only gotten off the monorail here. Will the bus slots be easy to see walking in? Also, how much time should we allow? Thanks!

Unless you don't mind spending the rest of your evening getting back to POR via bus to DTD and then boat or bus to POR. a taxi is the best bet. What's the best way to get back to POR after the 8pm seating at the luau at Poly? MK and Epcot are only open til 9 that night. Cab?

Hi,
Have a bit of an issue to get to Downtown Disney (DTD, right?) in Orlando Disneypark from Epcot bus station where all the buses from Orlando seems to stop. We were planning on going there yesterday but the park was taking too much time.
So at the moment we have no entrance pass to any of the parks nor any accommodation at the Disney hotels. We do not plan on going into any other of the parks since we already went to Magic Kingdom. However we would love to see the DTD for shopping and perhaps dining or something.
Our hotel is located along the I-Drive in Orlando and there are a few free shuttle buses going from here and back directly to the Epcot Bus Station where we took a monorail and boat to the Magic Kingdom, no problem.
However we cant find any direct option to go to DTD. Apparently as I have seen on several forums and question threads you have to go through some of the resorts but I assume you will need either a park pass or accommodation proof to use these transportation options to and from resorts. Walking to DTD is of course no option and I would try to stay off taxis unless that is the only option... (trying to go free as far as possible to have more money left for shopping).
Maybe there is a bus from Orlando or I-drive that goes by DTD?
So summary:
A bus or transport from either Epcot Bus Station area or nearby to DTD
or a bus or transport from I-drive or nearby to DTD.
Thanks in advance.

If you resort shuttle bus goes to Epcot, then just get off there, and walk over to the WDW resort bus stops. Hop on the bus to SSR. Then, you can get to DTD from there. Take the boat, walk via the pathway behind the main bldg, or take the bus.Hi,

Just take a bus to any of the MK resorts. you can then poke around the resorts for a bit, and head back to the CR around 6:30.How long would it take to get from Animal Kingdom to The Contemporary Resort for a Chef Mickey's ADR? Animal kingdom closes at 5:00, our ressie is at 6:50. What's the best option? We're staying at POP if we'll have too much time in between.
If it were me? I would take the OKW bus to AK and then transfer to the AKL bus there. On arrival day, I'd like to go from OKW to AKL around noon.
Several months ago, someone helpfully suggested that I take the boat to DTD and then a bus to AKL. I believe that, since then, the boat route changed so that the boat stops at DTD West Side.
Is boat-then-bus still the way to go?
