Official 'how to get from point A to point B while at WDW' thread.

What's the best way to get from Wilderness Lodge at approximately between 11pm-Midnight to Animal Kingdom Lodge? I have a late dinner reservation at Artist Point and I'm staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge next month.

Would I be able to take the boat or bus back to Magic Kingdom and then take a bus back to my resort? Take a bus from Wilderness to Downtown Disney and then take my resort bus from there? Ask the Concierge or call the Disney customer service # to see if they will arrange Disney transportation for me?

Or will I just have to plunk down some cash and pay for a taxi back to my resort? I know it's cheap to do so, but I guess it's just the idea of having to do that that irks me since Disney makes it possible to have late dinner reservations, I feel we should be able to use their transportation if it's within the allotted times they allow us to make dinner reservations.

1. Yes, as long as MK is still open (which is likely to be the case more often than not next month).

2. You could do that too, although most people recommend against using DTD as a transfer point because of longer waits for buses, both to and from DTD.

3. Disney isn't going to provide transportation outside of what they normally provide, which is park to park, and from hotels to parks, DTD and water parks and back.

Thank you, siskaren! That puts my mind at ease. I just checked the schedule for Magic Kindgom and they will be open until Midnight that day! So, my dinner will probably end before then, so I'm sure I can use either the bus or boat then! YAY! Feel better about that.

One year, I was trying to do the opposite - leave a late dinner at Animal Kingdom Lodge and head back to my resort - think it was Pop Century. The kingdom was still barely open, so I hopped on the bus that dropped off the MK guests, and the bus driver didn't want to take me there because it was just about closed so he asked me why I wanted to go at this time, so of course I told him I just wanted to return to my resort, so he actually just took me there!

Can you believe that!?!? The almost unheard of and mystical resort to resort bus ride! I actually went from Animal Kingdom Lodge to Pop Century. He radioed it in what he was doing and got all the all-clear, and I was very grateful. I wanted to tip him, but I think he said he couldn't accept.

What is the best way to get to POLY for Ohana dinner @5:15pm from POR, and about how long should I allow for transportation ?

Best way? Bus to MK, monorail or boat to Poly.

If you want to stick with buses, you could do bus to DHS, bus to Poly (this one might stop at other resorts first).

I'd leave an hour, at least.

I have an 8:25 PM ADR at ohana MK closes at 8 and Epcot has EMH, open until 11PM. What is the best way to get back to Coronado Springs? Thanks for any help!

The best way is going to be to take a cab. It'll cost you about $20 and take 10 minutes.

If you really don't want to spring for the $20 cab ride, you can transfer at Epcot or DTD, but you should plan on either of those taking 90 minutes.

Hi everyone,
I haven't posted in awhile but I'm helping a friend plan a trip. Just wanted to make sure the buses still run from MK to MGM. TIA

It's called Disney's Hollywood Studios (DHS) now, but yes. ;)

We will be staying at OKW so we will take the water taxi to DTD. With the construction, what is the best way to get from one side of DTD to the other?

What is the best way to get from SOG to AKL? I'm assuming go to the TTC and catch a bus from there.

That one's gotten more difficult.

The TTC is no longer a Disney bus hub. There are no other TTC to Resort buses, and there are no TTC to Park buses (except before 9 am).

If you can take a bus to AK, then transfer to AKL, that might be your best bet. If AK is closed, maybe DHS can be your transfer point? Are there any SOG to Epcot buses? I seem to recall there aren't, so you'd have to use the monorail.

If you take the steps to get to MK, you could take a bus to AKL from there.

Nope. No buses from the TTC. You'll need to transfer at a park or DTD.

Thanks! We'll be there in two weeks and all these ways to get around are running through my head. :faint:

The boat from OKW to DTD docks at the West Side dock, behind HOB. From there, you can board another boat to the PI & Marketplace docks.
