Official "Heroes" discussion thread - Caution: Speculation and Potential Spoilers

I'd like to see the photo of the 12 elders! I didn't get to see it onscreen nearly long enough.

Was Peter ever around Nicky/Jessica last season? The reason I ask is because toward the end of last week's episode, he had the Hero's symble tattoo on under side of his forearm (like what Nicky/Jessica had on her back), and I could swear that I saw it disappear when he sat down when the girl calmed him down after strangling the guy against the wall. So instead of somehow having Sylar's evilness, I actually think he absorbed Nicky/Jessica's Jeckle and Hyde personalities.

my only complaint this season is too many new heroes. Why not concentrate on the old ones.
I know they all come together but I don';t know I just don't feel any of them.

I like the new one, Micah's cousin or whoever she is. She seems to absorb skills she sees on tv. That could get very interesting, depending on what she watches. And I like that they keep introducing new heroes. It keeps the show fresh, while keeping you wondering if any others are going to be killed off. Y'know, since there are new ones to keep the story going and all. It seemed like last season they pretty consistently introduced new heroes, and not all of them stuck around very long. It makes sense that new ones would continue to be discovered and have their powers develop - not that much time has elapsed and they wouldn't simply stop appearing. I like wondering how they will all come together and interact. I love how the heroes could be anyone, just normal everyday people who suddenly discover amazing abilities. That is the concept that drew me to the show in the first place, and I for one am glad they're keeping that part of the show intact on an ongoing basis.

Here are a few I have seen. I also have Sylar in that rocking wife beater, bare chested Peter & Nathan in the mirror and a few others. Let me know!

I sure didn't miss the twins last nght.

Micah's story with his cousin is interesting. He's really helping her to understand what she can do and it seems that he's enjoying having someone closer to his age with whom he can share his secret. I wonder what the aunt's power is.

Interesting story with Matt's father. What a snake! The way that the fight scene was shot was very cool.

I wonder who the father of the electricity girl is.

I love fiesty Nikki!

I am SO NOT into the Maya storyline. The only good that has come of it is that she figured out last night how to use her power for her benefit instead of just willy-nilly killing people. I want to know what happened to Sylar to make him lose his powers, though.

Please remind me how Monica wound up at the Company. I'm glad Suresh grew a pair and didn't inject her with a supposed antidote to cure her of her power.

If Peter was in Ireland and he painted a picture with French wording in it, why did they naturally assume that the painting should take them to Montreal? Why not Paris? Didn't make sense to me.

My DS liked that the Russian's name was Ivan and that they pronounced it correctly. He didn't understand any of the Russian that was being spoken though without the subtitles. I understood a lot of it. Thought that was pretty neat. My sister understands what Hiro and Ando, et al, say without the subtitles. Just when you think old Noah is a good guy, they make you think otherwise.

I liked what Claire and her flying partner did with the head cheerleader. Great mind game!

I think they assumed it was Montreal because they had already opened the box that was supposed to have clues with Peter's identity and it contained a plane ticket to Montreal.

That makes more sense. I forgot about that.

I'm glad Suresh grew a pair and didn't inject her with a supposed antidote to cure her of her power. I wonder if this is where the NY evacuation comes from is the mutated Shanti virus....

Not to sure about West yet. He disses his parents (are they even around?) has Claire do things she doesn't like (I know typical hormonal teens stuff, but a tad more dangerous) and he is so cocky. Wonder if he knows Adam?

Oh, and Bob has a heart? Looks likehe set her up to be St. Joan of NO. Did you see St joan pix inthe Times Square ending?

I think they assumed it was Montreal because they had already opened the box that was supposed to have clues with Peter's identity and it contained a plane ticket to Montreal.

I wondered why the ticket looked so neat. You'd think if it was in his pocket, it would be a bit rumpled!

I think the missing 4 month story will be cool, because (and highlighted) it had something to do with Elle, the Haitian, and Adam going on with Peter.

So many questions to be answered.

Did the pictures bother anyone else? Ithought they were to show the murders to come, and they don't. 2 of them have already happened, Claire on the steps, dead & the vial that Bob held out to Mohinder.

And how did HRG's being dead pix get there? I thought it was with Issacs stuff? I also have pictures of the pictures and a few other things if you are interested.

I think this is my first post on this thread since season 2 started, so I have to catch up with what's been said on here lately. Just wanted to share a few thoughts (and fair warning, those thoughts may involve spoilers from the 11/5 episode for anyone that hasn't seen it yet) --

Overall, season 2 is living up to season 1's quality. After tonight's episode, if things keep shaping up it may surpass it. I think I read once that Tim Kring wasn't a big comic book fan, but I wouldn't have guessed it. Of course, Jeph Loeb, one of the co-exec producers, is a comic book writer, so his influence is definitely there.

I was soooooo glad to see Peter survived! My guess is Claire's abilities he absorbed helped with his recovery. I'm going out on a limb and guess that Matt's dad caused Peter's amnesia. I just hope he's able to get back to Caitlin.

The Company -- I keep going back and forth on them. Okay, so last year Linderman was rogue? I was under the impression he was in charge and calling the shots while Nakamura Sr. was the rebel. Now, I don't think they're evil, but I'm not convinced they're completely good either. Definitely a lot of shades of grey involving The Company.

Claire/HRG -- Nice try, Noah, establishing a "secret identity" in the midst of suburbia. Unfortunately, I think it would be difficult for a secret identity to be maintained in today's information age. Also, Claire's mom mentioned West's name. I wonder if Noah will recognize it. "West" as a first name isn't common, and if he connects that with the news report of a flying man (assuming he knows what West can do) he's bound to know who he is.

Kensei/Adam --  In a way I had a feeling we'd be seeing him again. Seeing that he was one of the original 12 and still alive and kicking after almost 340 years, though .. I wasn't expecting that. (quick thought: if his abilities are like Claire's, does this mean that she's potentially immortal also?) Still, that's what I love about this show -- how all these plotlines that seem to go in several direction actually end up coming together. Now, I just wonder how they will fit in ....

Maya and Alejandro -- Yeah, they're on their way to New York with Sylar to find Suresh, but how will they eventually fit into the main plot? Will Adam find a way to make Maya's power make the plague even worse?

One more thought and I'm done. I wonder if Adam's name is some clue that he was the first to gain superpowers. If so, and if having powers is genetic, does that mean that all that have powers are somehow descended from him?

Ok my question for tonight's show, did Mama Petrelli make Peter remember?

Is that her power?

Incidentally, for folks who have been noting HD picture quality problems with Heroes this season (all NBC shows seems to have "sparklies", actually), MOJO will be broadcasting each week's episode Wednesday 11PM and Thursday 8PM (Eastern Time). MOJO is super-premium HD, and so we're likely to see full bitrate, true HD. (I hope they support closed captioning!)

I agree, I thought this last night too. And is there a meaning to Noah's name too? Like maybe he will "save" the powers by saving a person with each power/ability from the plague...I don't know, just throwing it out there!

Awesome episode last night!! By far the best episode of the year so far! I loved Hiro and Ando's reunion too!

I did figure out the Kensai/Adam Monroe thing though but it occurred to me early on in this episode (maybe when Peter was questioning who he was). But it was cool to see his reappearance with Peter. I'm wondering though since Adam/Kensai has the same powers as Claire, are they related somehow?
